Congratulations on your new camera. It looks terrific. I'm sure it will serve you well. Have fun! 🙂 Oh, the nano USM is like a cross between the original USM technology and STM. USM lenses focus very quickly and STM lenses give those lovely smooth focus pulls. The nano USM gives both (the speed and the smooth focusing). I have the nano USM 18-135mm lens and it's very fast and smooth at focusing.

Enjoy-I received mine on September 20th but only a Canon 90D with 18-55mm because I'm not rich like you to afford the full zoom kit )

nano usm is for the focus. Its a silent focus motor.

The Canon LP-E6N battery was also used with the EOS 80D. Somehow the EOS 90D is able to take 1,300 photos with that battery; whereas the EOS 80D could only manage 900 pics with the very same battery.

The 80D gets A LOT more than 900 shots on a single charge. It was rated at 960 CIPA rating, which is a nonsense rating based on shooting 50% of your shots with flash. You get around 1650 shots per charge, in practice. This suggests the 90D will probably get 2000+ shots per charge if you're not firing the in-built flash. I have an 80D, just for the record. I have several cameras and one is an M50 for street photography. That has a CIPA rating of 235 shots and I never get less than 1100 shots, with enough charge left to plug in to my laptop and transfer the images. I usually get 1600+ with still enough charge to transfer the images to my laptop. I really have no idea how CIPA tests work as they vastly underrate batteries. The M3 was rated at around 350(?) shots from memory and my old M3 would generally die at 800-1000 shots, well behind the M50 (which it's rated higher than), but way better than the CIPA rating.

The 70d and 7dmk2 had them too. You can also use any lp-e6 battery (ala 5d, 60d and i think even 50d)

I have a problem with the 90D and the EF 70-300mm 1:4-5,6 IS II USM. The LCD Screen shows in the photo-mode the correct Focal length incl. the crop-factor 112-480 mm. In the video-mode it ist 70-300 mm. Do you have the same?

Hello mate - I wonder if you could help me with my Cannon 90D (exactly the same thing you got there). I bought it from Amazon, it has now stopped working without any reason/damage. It sometimes gets on and show pictures and then next moment it gets turned off. I have no idea why it happens that way. Do you know how to fix it or can you suggest / direct to some website to help me with that. Its quite frustrating now, Amazon hasn’t been helpful either. I will really appreciate your feedback.

First buying camera without checking it's a mistake. Second buying in online , why cant you move your ass and go to showroom and check by yourself for this costly camera huh ????
