I’d love to see some low light stuff. Especially if you can do some comparisons with the R. I shoot indoor sport and my settings on the R usually need to be about: 1/800 f2.8 (or f2 if I’m on the 28-70) iso10,000 I mean, I don’t expect you to use those settings, just giving you an example of how much I push the camera.

Wonderful video, I have a question for you. That panorama hanging behind you at the beginning of the video, may I ask what medium it's printed on? It's a great looking image, I have a panorama I've taken while in Spain, and need to have it printed and hung on my wall. Any information regarding yours would be greatly appreciated.

I am a portrait photographer and have been using the R the last couple of years as my go to camera. There are a couple of upgrades I would like to have that the R doesn't have. Joystick which replaces a non-used or useless feature called the Touch Bar (stupid move Canon, what were you thinking?) Scroll Wheel - YES I really miss that a lot (hate the Nikon type wheel the R has) 4K (non-crop) that is nice upgrade (should have been on the Canon R to begin with). Two Card Slots - quit honestly never had one and never really needed one but I would use it. I have shot over 300K pictures and I have had ONLY 1 card fail on me. I was traveling in China in 2003 bought a cheap Chinese brand CF card, it lasted a few shoots before it died. I think if you buy a name brand card like ScanDisk those cards really last or maybe I am just lucky?

Yes, I read the pdf version of that R5 manual, front to back. I forgot a lot of it, though, but I wanted to know what’s in there and I will go back to the parts I really need to study. So, while I read it front-to-back, I did not study it hard. There is a difference.

Love this-I enjoy the photography aspect of the R5. I don’t do video and the R5 and R6 have been lost. I joined photography talk the other day-did not know it was you, I was just using google and stumbled upon it. I have an order for the R6, wish I had the budget for a R5 but I am happy with my purchase. Once I the world goes back to normal I hope to get the rf 24 -70 :)

Hi, now r5 is here and what z your thoughts about a7r4? I’m debating b/w a7r4 vs r5. The only thing I don’t like about a7r4 is the lack of touch screen, articulated screen and lack of multiple raw formats, which are all in r5 with I believe almost close to Sony in eye tracking too. But glasses for r5 ridiculously prized. Being a7s3 announced with all these features, I believe it is best in investing in a7r4 for future proof. What is your thoughts b/w these cameras? I don’t care about video features at all? I was a nikon shooter, and I tried Z camera, didn't like much. So I'm planning to jump into sony or canon; I don't have glasses for either of these brands. Will there any chance for sony a7r4 t get these updated features of touch screen, updated menu and multi raw formats by a firmware update? Any thoughts on these decision making would be really helpful and really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You mind me asking which Z did you try? I had the Nikon Z7 and that was an AMAZING camera. If you don't need video, that would be the best camera to get IMHO. I'm not a Sony fan, they make a great camera, but for me, the ergonomics just doesn't work for me. NOW, if you want a hybrid camera and plan on doing video, the R5 is my pick.

Thank you for the prompt reply, I had Z 6 with the firmware 3.0. I have 4 little ones, couldn’t nail the focus properly. Even with all the advancement in eye tracking, to nail the focus, I’ve to use dynamic mode and manually track it. Image quality was excellent. Since I had few glasses in Nikon I thought I will try Nikon. But in this era of all the advancement in eye AF, why should I compromise? This is the reason I decided to move out I’d Nikon. I’ve heard the in eye AF, the the R5 is the best even comparing to a7r4. Thanks again
