For those who only see 25 and 50 fps you have to go to the wrench in the settings and swap from PAL to NTSC

I also bought the Canon R50 with the 18-45 mm lens but the lens cannot be completely retracted so it cannot reach the completely closed original position. I don't know if my description was understandable but is that normal or is my lens broken?

@ yes i did. you just have to turn it a bit harder. It stops at 18mm but you have to turn it until that white point. Just try harder. It wont break :)

Seems like I'm like just about everybody else in the comments who wanted better pictures than the smartphone was giving, and smartphones can give some pretty good pictures these days even. But I feel like once you really get any kind of photography hobby you end up needing a camera This is the one that was recommended for just about every beginner it looks like so happy to have it. But this is a way better tutorial than anything in that instruction manual

Hello my apologies for not even knowing your name. I want to be like you, but I just upgraded from the Canon R100 to the Canon R50 and I need help with settings. I get the message from my Windows Media Player, “We can’t open the file. It used unsupported encoder settings.” I also notice that the files are massive. I had a short video that was 8 gigs in size. This leads me to think that I can utilize a smaller file size, but I don’t know which setting gives me something that is supported. ChatGPT mentioned 7 options: 1. Verify the Video Format and Codec 2. Update my media player 3. Install Codec Packs 4. Transcode the Video. 5. Check system requirements for H.265 (???) 6. Try a different application 7. Update my graphics drivers. Before I go down any of those rabbit holes, I wanted to check with someone who has experience with the camera to help. There may be a simpler way that I’ve passed up. What do you suggest?

I love the 50mm and 35mm . But the r50 is a apsc sensor so remember that you will be a crop on those lenses.so the focal length needs to be multipled by 1.6. Hope this makes sense

Quick question I have the prime 50mm, but due to the crop it seems closer to an 80mm Thinking of getting the EF adapter and getting the EF 24mm lens for portrait and couples photos. Will this work or is there a better solution. I just have to get back rather far with the 50mm to get the whole scene in.

I would stick with the right focal length for the job. A common mistake is to get a wider lens instead of stepping back because a wider focal length has different characteristics. But i think you are on the right track with getting a 24 for wider shots. You might also want to consider the rf 16mm. Try then both and see what fits you personal shooting style.

This is a helpful video, but it is extremely fast paced. For a Complete Beginner Guide, it should be way slower with a more natural conversation style, with examples for the features and differences between them. Even still, I stopped a lot during the video and content helped me to get a first glimpse of the camera.

I think I'm going to go for the R50 and 'cheat' with all the AI support ! Then progress. I think I'll buy the body and the 16mm lens. I have the Comica BoomX-D PRO wireless system plus I see the Sennheiser MKE 200 has a headphone jack. I guess it's limited to 720p when you live stream via the USB C port. I hope it charges the battery at the same time as I don't want to mess around with dummy batteries etc... Plenty of material here for future videos 🤣🥳
