Toni - I really love this lens. On a crop sensor like my R7 or your A6700, I would opt for the 600 F4 or the RF 100-500 that would not adapt to your A6700. 🙏💖🤗

I forget how much I really love it until I do pull it out. The same with the R7. The extension tubes work really well to shorten the minimum focus distance. Unless Canon comes out with something new and amazing, I will have it with me in San Diego in a couple weeks and then again in April in Arizona. 🙏🤗💖

I have actually really been enjoying it on each of the bodies I have been using it on. I have not noticed the center only focus on the newer bodies, including the R8, like I did on the other bodies. Have not seen it on the R5II or the the R3. Right now, it is my favorite little lens!! 🙏💖🤗

Thank you, thank you!!! I love this lens on the R8 and the R3. I was screening the video of hummingbirds this afternoon that will go up Wednesday and I am SOOOO blown away by the R8. I think i may just have to make the justification in my mind and buy it. The two seem to pair well together And the R7II - I hope so!!! 🙏🤗💖

I love it. If I could justify it or if it goes on a major sales, I will buy it. Or when I sell my R5II, I will buy it then. I really enjoyed shooting it. 🙏💖🤗

I really like the Ibis pictures. I like the Green Heron too. Most of our Green Herons have headed south. We have a few that stay for the winter, for reasons no one can figure out, so I will have a chance to photograph them and see if their offspring are going to stay the winter too since they had 3 this year. I really like my RF 800 f11 but I haven't used it in a while.

Jeff - I have had so much fun with this lens, that I ordered the lens hood an foot. Gone keep it on the R3 for a while and MAY...... order an R8 while selling the R5II. I forgot how much I really like this lens. The last poster I printed, the last couple, were with this lens. I will have it with me when I go back to the mud flats in a couple of weeks at low tide. The next video i have out tomorrow is all JPEGs - well, mostly and all with this lens. 🙏💖🤗

I was thinking of buying a second hand 800 F11 lens for 600 dollars for some extra focal length for bird photography but I bet it struggles in bad light which we get lots of here in Ireland in winter. I think the Dowitcher is a Beautiful Greater Yellowlegs 🙂

The dowitcher when i did a search, came up both ways so you are correct. I have another video out tomorrow shooting in the shade, all JPEGS and I am really impressed all over again. I am dragging my shutter or setting as low as I can and still enjoying the photos. I am going to keep this on the R3 now for a while - really enjoying this lens. I may do another comparison with the 200-800..... but I really think I like this one better! 🙏💖🤗
