The EF-S 18-55 kit lens is actually really good. IS makes a huge difference. The 55-250 is also supposed to be good.

I may have had a really bad copy of the 18-55. Also, the III version is a pretty decent lens.

I have just dug out my 500D EOS I have no idea how to use it. It has sat in a camera bag for years. I bought a cheap tripod off Amazon to help. I have two lenses EFS 18-55mm and 55-250mm. Would you have a good setting recommendation ?

@@DavidHancock Thank you for your reply it's really a lot of information you have laid out in your videos . Being that it's a old camera there is a lot of settings . I have watched all 3 videos. Can this camera be of use in 2024 ?

Good afternoon... Friend, it is possible with an Android cell phone via cable and an app to control the camera screen and trigger video recording, it would be transforming the cell phone into a mobile monitor. It's possible ? If possible, could you guide me on how to do it? Grateful
