I use pro Nikon lenses on the m50 and it looks great. What’s more is I have been using it as a webcam everyday for facilitating business calls. It never overheats and keeps working.

Is it weird that I used to shoot with a 5D mkiii and sold it to get a m50 as my main work camera? And bought more lenses with the price I sold my 5D mkiii. I have no regrets as the m50 was capable of doing what my 5D was able to do. It was the only mirrorless that was out before the eos r/rp came out.

So I'm at my desk watching this video and staring at the M50 staring back at me, since I use it mostly for Zoom. I love the 22mm f/2 lens and that is my stealth walking around/special occasion setup. Got some really great shots on a dinner train for my parents' 50th anniversary. But, I've got the Viltrox speedbooster and an EF 85 1.8 to play with. I'm also looking at getting an EF 135 f/2. I've been playing around with my new R6, but I'll need to get that M50 out for higher mp shots and to have some fun with the Viltrox. I imagine I can get shots I'd need to spend many thousands of $$$ to get on my R6 with the glass I'd need, lol

Same here - M50 is my webcam mainly on Zoom - I use it in conjunction with the speedbooter and the 16:35mm L lens and the Canon app! Also congrats on the R6 purchase - I've been using the 4K of the R6 on all my videos recently, the filessizes are much smaller (due to the IPB) than the EOS-R and even smaller when compared to the 5DMarkIV 4K files!

I've got a M50 mark ii recently and I have the same lenses and the same adapter. Also, I'm thinking of upgrading my canon 85mm f1.8 usm to Sigma 85mm f.14 art lens not sure if it's worth the upgrade.

Im looking for either an M mount or EF mount lens for canon that’s somewhere in the focal range of 24-70mm or 18-55mm and an aperture of F 2.8 or higher. My price range is anything under like $600 or $700. What do you think a good lens for me is?

Speedbooster make less sharp pictures. Yes an adapter takes away the edges of your pictures, but be aware that almost all lenses have vigneting and other issues and the edges, those are cut of when using a adapter instead of a Speedbooster.

@@ummkhel depends what you think that’s important. If you want the sharpest then an adapter would be better. Be aware that you must really zoom in and this is in basic not photography but pixel peeking. If you just want to take nice pictures with a good composition, go for the speed booster. Either choice watch out that the parts that are connected to cam and lens needs to be from good shiny quality. If not it damages your gear when you change lenses regularly. Personally I would go for a booster. To be honest I don’t use a booster anymore because I upgraded my whole gear lately and moved to another brand. (Canon m50m2 to Sony A7m4). But I had a lot fun with a booster.

Without the adapter you will need to purchase M mount lenses - I'd recommend looking into the Viltrox silver series M mount lenses

One thing that was neglected was the "aperture equivalent". You cannot let in more light than the maximum aperture of a lens, as is in the example a 16-35's maximum aperture being 2.8. You have to do the same math you did with the focal length (for full frame equivalent) to get the REAL aperture (for full frame equivalent). So, doing the math: 2.8 x 1.6 x 0.71 = 3.1808 or simply 3.2 maximum aperture wide open (full frame equivalent). I don't like being "that guy", but I'm not one to lie to people if I know the truth. This IS important!!! 😮

With that you mean the blurry background? So it is the same blurred background as with a full frame sensor at f3.2. That f2 is somewhat real, because you can now do the same shutter speeds as with other real f2 lenses
