Nice one Dave. I have similar lenses ie sigma 18- 200mm and the two fm lenses 15-45mm and 50-200mm The sigma i love but it is a lump to carry on my M6. When out and about 15-45mm is cool for a walk about. i love the fm 22mm too. thanks again nice example's

The Sigma 18-200 Macro Contemporary is a joy. With the adapter ef-efm , you have covered 99% situations with a really good sharpness all the range and nice color rendition. Is my favourite all around. It is a lot better than the classic Sigma 18-250. I don't know why nobody talks about

@raulal0029 күн бұрын
@@mshafi4180 well, brand new yes, looking second hand is like 120-140 , and it is worth to pay that 30-40 extra bucks vs older zooms. Also the 18-300mm is so good, but i feel it is too heavy and that 100mm extra reach is not really a change in real life photos (is just a little crop if you had a 200mm sharp)

What a collection of lenses. Seems a challenge to carry them all, ha. Great quick review for each and sample images looks fantastic! But, what's the buzzing sound in the background? 📸🤩👍
@DavidLudlowPhotography Жыл бұрын
Hi Arnel, thanks for watching, haha I don’t normally carry them all although it would be good exercise 🏋🏻 I’m puzzled about the background noise, it was fine until I uploaded it, so not sure, I’m going to do some tests with my microphone this weekend to see if that’s the problem. Hope it was not too distracting
@arnelaguilos7469 Жыл бұрын
Noise is like a grounded connection. My wild guess is, the mic receiver may not have been properly plugged into the camera recording the video, or, created as you transferred the recording to your computer.
@DavidLudlowPhotography Жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, I’ll take a look later 👍

Oops by the way sir Dave, have you tried taking a shot for each one of them at the same focal length? Just wondering if there are differences in the FOV.

Hi Arnel I’ve not purposely done that but will think about that for a future video. 👍

The buzzing is very distracting, tbh. To mitigate it, i found that lowering the volume to where you hear him more than the noise is quite helpful since his voice was picked up well by the mic. Thanks for the content always, David!

Nice comparison of these lenses Dave. Can you share your experience with the Sigma 18-250mm vs the canon zoom lenses? How is the Sigma sharpness when compared to the 18-150 and 55-250? Considering getting a new zoom lens and just wanted some feedback. Much Thanks
@DavidLudlowPhotography Жыл бұрын
Hi Shane, I find the Canon 18-150mm ok but the Canon 55-200mm is much sharper. The Sigma EF-S 18-250 with the Viltrox adapter does produce sharp images for me however it is so much bigger, and the focus motor is really noisy so that puts me off a bit. But if you’re doing landscape photography then the Sigma is great for the range, I find it too big as a general carry around. So my go to lens as a pick up and go is the Canon 18-150mm. So it does depend on what you will use it for. As sharpness goes the Canon 55-200 and Sigma 18-250 are about the same. The two Canon win for lightness and size. Kind regards David

A lot of people including me use the 55-200mm, but to be honest I don’t find it quite enough so something maybe around 400 as the top end an ef-s with an adapter. Just thoughts at the moment

@DavidLudlowPhotography Thank you David I just picked up one second hand. And i picked up a viltrox mount you recommended. And what about the other extremes what wold you recommend for close up detail pics. Cannon EF-M series seem to be avail in good quality on the second hand market.
@DavidLudlowPhotography7 ай бұрын
@@mickhurley7305 hi Mick I have the ef-m 28mm macro lens that includes built in light but I actually find the ef-m 22mm lets you get close up and is good for wide angle and also street photography as it’s very small and discreet. By the way did you pick up an ef-m 55-200mm if so you would not require the adapter. Kind regards David
@mickhurley73057 ай бұрын
@@DavidLudlowPhotography Great advice, I will keep an eye out for an ef-m 22mm. I have the stock 15-45mm that came with the camera. I picked up the adapter so if I come across any other EF lenses I can fit them. Seems a shame this line is being discontinued.

What do you suggest is it what investing in efm mounts lences as canon is abandoning this mount lens ... They will not be making any new ef m Mount camera...
@DavidLudlowPhotography Жыл бұрын
I find that the range of Canon and third party lenses gives you enough choice to keep this mount going for a fair whole. However if I was investing now I would probably go for one of the crop sensors in the R range although the choice of native lenses is fairly limited at the moment

Hi Sir, I have a Canon M50. I carry this on my travelling, because of its compact size and good to take photo. Recently I accidentally went to a Bird Sanctuary, there I felt the need of zoom lens. Do I go for a Sigma 18-250 lens with an adapter or any other cheap option to have zoom lens..
@DavidLudlowPhotography10 ай бұрын
Hi I did exactly the same, I had my 18-150 and that was not enough. I haven’t taken my 18-250 back there yet but hoping it’s going to get me closer, although I spoke with a few photographers there and the sizes of lenses they had were up to 600mm full frame. I think the 18-250 is a great starting point for the price as 250mm on the m50 is equivalent to 400mm on a full-frame camera. Kind regards David 📷👍

Hi, I personally love the 18-150 and I tend to use it as my go to lens rather than the kit lens. The 18-150 stays on my camera so I can just grab the camera. It’s a great range to work with for most types of photography. Kind regards David 📷👍
