The only thing that transparent tray cover does is protecting the paper from dust. In the office environment people usually don't use that thing because it slows down your work especially if you need to print something from both sides. For home use it's pretty good though.

Mon problème est que je n'ai pas beaucoup de place sur mon bureau à domicle et je vois que le bac à papier doit rester ouvert tant qu'il contient du papier. Je ne voudrais quand-même pas vider ce bac de tout le papier qu'il contient à chaque fois que je finis de travailler avec l'imprimante pour pouvoir ranger ce bac. C'est contraignant. L'autre problème, c'est que je dois aller voir chez les autres marques ce qui est dommage car à ce jour, je n'ai jamais acheter des imprimantes que chez Canon. Bonne journée à toutes et à tous.

How the heck did you get the top back down? It locks up but they don't have instructions on where the release is on the arm on how to get it back down and I don't want to break it.

Hi.. I saw there's a separate toner and drum. Does the drum needed to be replace too?

The toner cartridge can print about 2000 pages, after that you can replace it or refill. The cartridge with OPC drum will last for minimum 10000 pages and again you can replace only the drum or replace the whole thing. I'll make a video oh how to do it at home.

I can not find a photo of the underside of this MF113W printer; would it be able to sit securely (without wobble) on a 292mm (11.5") deep shelf? I understand that it would overhang by about 35mm.

@@Pyrocumulous The paper holder is gonna be sticking out for about 15cm but luckily it doesn't need any support from the bottom. Also, I added and an extra 2cm because there's a power cable behind the printer that requires some space. Or you can find a cable with L shape (angled) connector that goes into the printer to eliminate that space between the wall and your printer.

i just got this unit set up. After printing one document it goes into a constant blinking error light and then I have to shut it off and turn it back on again to print another document. Any idea what that is? Canon support just hangs up on me. Thanks!
