My setup stucked on step2. The printer can connect to my wifi no problem but my mac can't connect to the printer on the same network. I able to setup on my phone and worked fine. Will be returning this printer soon. Will be going back to HP

I did this exactly but my printer always shows its idle and it takes at least 2 minutes to slowly print out one page, should I return it or am I doing something wrong?

Hi, Joyce! If your PIXMA TR4520 has been on but idle for a while, your printer may need some time to get ready to print. You'll hear some parts moving around inside as the printer prepares the ink nozzles for use and gets the ink ready to flow. If your printer has not been idle for a long time, your printer should react to the incoming print job immediately. This is NOT an easy printer to set up. This is my second printer because the first one had so many problems, Canon replaced it. Now trying to set this up and it is just problem after problem. I would NOT recommend this printer at all! Set up should be WAY easier. Last printer (that apparently was a lemon...) would only print one print command at a time and then would consistently JAM on me. And then the text became VERY smeary looking. I was still on my first ink cartridge -- that is how little I had used the printer and it had so many problems. It does NOT work on 5G wifi connection. So you either need to have 2.4 GHz frequency or need to have a dual-band router. And make sure your computer AND printer -- BOTH on the 2.4 MHz frequency or your computer will NOT "find" the printer. GOOD GRIEF. Seriously? No where is this mentioned in set up guide! NOT EVEN IN TROUBLESHOOTING!!! So MANY complications that are NOT mentioned in the packaging or on the box. Really bad job on this printer Canon. You should be disappointed. I use a MacBook Pro. ***Like the set up guide that comes with the printer, this video ALSO DOES NOT mention that this printer ONLY works on 2.4 MHz frequency. DOES NOT WORK ON 5G!!! This is CRITICAL in order to get the printer to work. I cannot even believe it is not mentioned on the box? CANON.... so disappointed in you!

My mac does not find the printer in the network. I was able go do a direct wifi Setup with my android phone maybe I will try the same with my laptop.

Hi, i have 2 macs, my printer is a canon mg 6150 which i connected to my first owned mac. I now have a second mac which can only use the printer when the first mac is switched on, is this normal. How do i use my second mac with the printer without the first mac switched on?

Hi, Glen! It's possible that when you set up your Canon printer on your original Mac, the setup was designed for your printer and computer to be exclusive to each other. Now that your arrangements have changed, we recommend uninstalling your printer from the original Mac and instead setting up your printer on your wireless network. You can then install the printer on your computers and they should each be able to see the printer on the network. This will allow the printer to work without it having to depend on any of your computers. Your printer model is one that isn't supported by Canon USA, so if you need help carrying out our suggestion, we recommend contacting the Canon company in your part of the world for help. If you're unsure which Canon company that might be, visit canon.us/ta6a and choose your country or region from the map. We hope this helps!

Hi, Craig! Since your PIXMA TR4520 doesn't require any special procedures for a USB cable setup, we didn't feel a need to make a video for it. All you need to do for a cable setup is to install the contents of the CD that came with your printer first and when that's finished, use a standard A-to-B USB cable to connect your printer to your computer. The setup will prompt you when to plug in the cable. If you're unable to use the CD, you can download all of its contents for free at canon.us/r4acc Hope this helps!

Hi, Roger! If you visit ij.start.canon and you find it to be in a language you don't understand, look for the dropdown menu at the upper right. This lets you choose which language the page uses and the site will change languages instantly as soon as you select a different language. We hope this helps!

Worst printer in the world. Possible to set it up. Called Canon Service and they said My MACBOOk has a Virus 😂😂😂😂 it took them 1 minute to give that diagnostics LOL what did I do? Return it and get and HP that took me 2 minutes to install it…with the virus LOOOOOOOOL

@@CanonUSASupport Guys, I followed the instructions on YOUR Printer’s manual. I went to the website that your manual says: ij.start.canon and I call the number that page showed me and somebody from canon told me in a matter of minute that my pc has a virus LOL I guess he just didn’t know what else to say. My PC is clean. Actually, i retuned it and got a HP which I could install in 2 minutes 😊 The virus thing was just an excuse. That’s my point. The process to install should be a lo easier. Like other brands do.

@@Firsteacher1 Same thing happened to me, but you went to IJ and it's a scam, they tell you that you have a virus and ask for money, canon would not be able to tell if you have a virus
