I wish Canon would address making the Icons slightly larger (make the two sizes a choice option). This is such a fun camera to shoot with. The Sony like EVF is terrific.

Does it have the step zoom feature of the old G7X mii? It was very helpful to ensure you are exactly at your preferred focal length of 35mm which is important for street photography.

HOW DO YOU CHECK FIRMWARE? It isn't in my WRENCH menu.

It’s in menu, wrench option 5, down the bottom. Apparently, there have been no firmware updates since release 😤

Hi I cant get a clean output out of my G5x MK II. I set it to clean output mode, and i still see a black rectangle around faces? Is this just how it is?

Need to see complete explanation how to set this camera up for video?? Nothing available. All ok for stills! I also have an Olympus OM10 and the set up there is easy for stills or video. Have had to give up with the Canon and just use phone!!! What video mode should I be using?? I want to shoot HD video at 29.97p and set a frame rate of 1/60 sec. It can't be done as the shutter speed can't be set!!!

And, you can’t review exact focal length outside of the step zoom in auto mode. Major factor for me.

It’s not usb c, it’s micro usb, not the same. So you need a new lead to charge the camera in body.
