I've had the SX610HS for so long now it's got a crack screen lens guard doesn't close I've dropped it taken it backpacking, rock climbing city travels and it still takes good quality pictures. It is extremely durable affordable and quality is not lacking great camera.

Worked perfect for my SX620HS camera and my Samsung J7. Download the Canon Camera Connect app from the Play Store, and it took about 3 minutes to have all my photos transferred from my camera to my phone.

when i am connected to the app and i do not see the option to take a video recording, only shooting photos. How do you record videos using the APP?

Worthless to me. Does not work for my camera (SX620 HS), though the help page for the camera links to it. Halfway through, it shows a Waiting to connect screen, with access point info for the camera. No such screen on my camera. Insists on connecting through WiFi router.

I had a problem connecting, and from the looks from the comments of it it seems sx620 hs model doesn't work connect as well as the model as you used. The message for that is suppose to show Connect Target device screen, does not appear. No matter how many times you try it's not there. I have reset the camera, I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have fully charged the camera and phone. It doesn't work.

I'm laughing at the word "effortlessly". So many clicks, so many steps, so unintuitive, so alien to the Android design guidelines. A real UX nightmare. When paired with Bluetooth I should be able to click the photo icon from within any Android app (Facebook, WhatsApp, GMail, etc), select the Canon camera's gallery, select picture and press "OK" and it will be shared. Requiring extra steps for simple picture sharing is so outdated, although I do appreciate the ability to batch import full size images over local wifi.
