In the process of deciding whether to go for this printer, or the Epson P700. This was a really helpful video, so thanks. Fabulous photos by the way 👌

Such a nice detailed video. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. I just got a Pro 300 today and run my first print, a BW photo of my daughter on the luster paper. I bought a package of sample papers that comes with some different variety so I can test and see the differences. Loved the quality and I'm happy with the purchase.

Thanks for the video, great work. I have the Pro 300 as well and love its performance, colours are great. Been using Pro Luster paper mainly, love it for portraits. Have not replaced the Matte paper I had after running out but have been considering something like the Premium fine art smooth as a matte for portraits as well. Any suggestions? Pity the cartridges on the 300 are not a little bigger, 25ml as opposed to 14.4 ml would last longer. Thanks

@@davidjurgens114 absolutely agree about the cartridges. I replace them constantly. I haven’t tried the fine art smooth for portraits to be honest. I really love the semi-gloss for that. I could see it being quite nice. You’ll lose contrast and some sharpness compared to the luster, but the texture is quite nice and there’s zero reflection. I use the fine art smooth exclusively for landscape but the one time I printed a wildlife image for my son, it turned out great!

Why do you tube vids on this printer always claim it will produce neutral mono prints? I and two of my photographer friends each have a pro300 yet all our attempts at mono have an obvious green cast using various Canon papers. We thought mono prints would be a fail safe option after buying this particular printer.

I’m not sure, but I didn’t make that claim in my video…
