NickPixelTV.. Cool video my friend. I think I like the R5ii better. But the R5 is great too. I'm still using my Sony ZV-1. I've been a little out of it and under the weather since April 27th so it's been a while. Hope everything is ok on your end.

The wobble is still there on the new R52. But it’s definitely better. And with Enhanced it’s totally gone. With the standard digital IS it’s minimal. So not too bad

I'm new to Canon and plan to switch from Sony. Does the wobble only affect a wide lens? What if I use a 24-105mm lens? Thanks!

Thought about this R5 II as an upgrade to my R6, primarily because I want better video but looks like only cropped "enhanced" mode has fixed the ibis wobble. Invested a ton in RF glass so cant really ditch canon easily sadly. Sony stabilization just looks more natural.

I think its a little bit better but not by much im going to do some more testing pretty frustrating actually.

Much better fyi Sony and lumix also have to have electric stab on or they also get the corner wobbles. I have the lumix and when it’s at 15 mm without electronic stab it wobbles. Sony also you have to engage active steady shot.

What Lumix camera? The Gh7 is unreal what they have done. The only thing lumix was missing was the auto focus but they seem to almost have that nailed down.

@@NickPixelTV s5iix I own this camera and at wide angle like 15mm it has corner wobbles. Once you engage electronic stabilization it goes away. It is one of the reasons lumix came out via a firmware update with standard and high mode for their electronic stabilization like canon. If you use high mode it crops in even more but gives you super smooth footage, but at the trade off of cropping in on your image like they all do canon and Sony alike.

I read a few months back that the autofocus has an AI software that reads your eyeball as to what you're looking at and then locks on the target. Out of every review video that I've seen, nobody has brought this up. Was that a false article that I read? I see the viewfinder is HUGE now. So why else would that be then?

@@photobeast it does have this. A lot of people have issues with getting it registered with their eyes. I have yet to use that feature possibly this weekend just to try out

@@NickPixelTV you should really do a review on it because out of the 20 plus reviews not one KZbinr has mentioned it! I was going to buy the or five more to and had my money put aside for the last few months and my wife slammed into my truck on the way as we were going to shoot a wedding. Funny thing is is if a husband and wife hit each other insurance doesn't cover any of the damage! Her car was totaled and my truck was smashed all the Hell in the rear end. So I had to take my R5 Mark II money to do repairs and to buy a second vehicle just to get jobs done. It's all good because I still have my R5 and R6 Mark II R7 and R8.. I'll survive for now... Hahahaaa

Your teaching me stuff I'll never understand 😊 Some of the recent drone videos I've seen must have the stabilisation built in because there was an effect that i didn't see before. The movie " Blair witch project" became very popular because their lack of stabilized visuals, shaky camera seems to be a fad. I like the enhanced stability feature. Of course some of us boomers will never understand even if we buy extra brain cells from Amazon.😎 I just ordered an extra 2 hours per day and they were unable to fill my order. 🕛

They have a tad but canon has not fixed this yet. The gh7 although m4/3 sensor crushes just about anything out there right now. Sony zve1 isnt even that bad
