Here's a question. Why do printers suck now? Had a Mx922. It broke. Turns out printers have taken a massive step back because you cannot find one that comes even remotely close to the MX922 (9600x2400 DPi). The only way to get that now is to spend 600+ on a separate photo printer.

@@BestPrinters I found some post on Reddit where this dude who seems to know what he's talking about explains that even though the tr8620a does have much lower dpi, because of several other hardware/software advancements, it actually prints better photos in some ways. Also the photo you printed looks pretty dang good. I'll probably just get this one. It's probably one of those situations where the difference would be barely discernable 🤷 it's just the numbers that threw me off. The mx922 really was the ultimate printer so good they were like wait this is too good let's stop making printers this good 😂, which makes me want it but the prices are too unreasonable for what would maybe be a tiny bump in photo quality on max settings

They could make it so much easier. You should be able to add email addresses in the printer so when you scan to an email, it automatically sends the scan via email......seems simple.

Sadly looks like the best.part of my 380 were removed on this. Laser light ink cartridges level reader and print head cartridge user replaceable. 380 had a door paper support that folded down on it's own when print job began. This doesn't look like it comes with software either and since no laptops have CDs anymore see it needs online hookup

I spoke to a Canon tech yesterday asking the same question and he said Yes to working with Windows 11. In any case, calling Canon directly, asking them the same question is probably best.

i STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND. HOW DO YOU TELL THE MACHINE TO PRINT FROM THE REAR TRAY. Sorry for the caps. I do not feel Canon has done a good job explaining this feature. Thank you in advance

You most likely need to select that you want to print from the rear tray from the device you're printing from. So for example, if you're printing from a PC you need to select the rear tray option on the PC settings under printer settings.

That would be an RJ-11 cable, not ethernet. Telephone cable. Ethernet would be RJ-45.

I've had this POS printer for almost a year. The D#$% thing defaulted to FAX and the only way to get it out of that mode was to dump the software on the PC and (maybe) start over, again wasting hours of my time. This printer is NOT WIN 11 Pro friendly!! One plus is that when it works, it prints decently. I lust for the now 20 year old HP laser unit I had when still working and may just look for a decent laser unit as a replacement

The canon ink is $70 😮. Will it accept cheaper brands? My hideous Epsom wf3620 would not. In fact Epsom co killed my printer after an update. Never will buy epsom again.
