I tried the kit linked in the description to try and fix visible streaks in printing magenta ink and followed the instructions here, and the problem still wasn't fixed. Unfortunately, simply replacing my cartridges is out of reach, as I've modified my TR8620 to use external ink refill tanks (i.e., installed a continuous ink supply system), so replacing the ink cartridges isn't an option. Is that the issue or is it the whole print head that needs to be replaced?

Replacing the printhead on this model really is not an option. I would suggest trying to do the cleaning again this time with warmed up fluid and then make sure your ink is full when you do a print head cleaning through the system because that pushes in back into the printhead.

@BestPrinters I already made sure that the cleaning fluid was warm before starting, and made sure to refill the external ink tanks before putting the cartridge ends back into the printer. I bet the problem is with those cartridge ends.
