This model and its 2 stripped down siblings, the XF400 and the LEGRIA XG10 are completely identical when it comes to sensor size, resolution, frame rats and image quality. Sadly, I think most people have. I miss using them. DSLR's have become so cumbersome and clumsy. I'm really thinking about purchasing this camera. I want to see more footage from it.

Great video! Please any opinion of quality 120p FHD-moiré,sharpness, and of dynamic range in wide DR? BTW.I was waiting a long time for new "XA30/35 with 4K", but this camera is much more bigger , more weight,and price,ufufuf, even GX10 price is cca as older XA35...I dont want make videos only with mirrorless etc,I love ergonomy and feeling in my hands of real videocamera, but for example XF405vs GH5, ufufuf, Canon, I really dont know...

Great Job Jonnie, as usual! You know how to make any camera sing! I'm very interested in XF 405 after watching this. First, did you shoot to the card or did you shoot externally and use the 422 color out? Also, what picture profile did you use, Wide DR, or Cinema? Lastly, I assume everything was shot wide open using ND filters to get the shallowest depth of field? Thank you in advance for your reply as I'm seriously considering this camera after watching this footage.

Hi Real World Endo, thanks for your thumbs up! Shot internally. (Always prefer this method if possible in order to keek a small footprint). Wide DR was used. Indoor, no ND was used. On the xf405 in manual mode do you have to change shutter speed and aperture via menu?? Also do you have proper focus peaking ?
