I was in complete lost when I was first picked up a film SLR, didnt know anything about ISO, Aperture, Shutter. Then when I switch to DSLR I could finaly understand what you are saying. I picked up the Canon t2i because of the video capabilities. Really a great camera for both video and stills. make sure to pick up that 50mm 1.8 for portrait shots a must have!

@xexodusx you need to either raise your ISO. Prolong your shutter speed and possibly open up your aperture. Low light I would suggest an ISO of 400 or higher. Also open up your aperture to 2.8 or wider. 4.5 is really hard to shoot in low light unless you use a slower shutter speed and then you must have the camera stabilized. If you shoot with a wider aperture than you can get away with using a faster shutter speed. Also remember the higher you go in ISO setting you risk noise.

@CanonAustralia when the video has finished it does not say which video is next, number 2 etc it just gives you a selection. When you click on one it could be nunber four when you are looking for number 3. It would be easier if they were numbered in order to watch. 1,2,3,4 etc.

Thank you for all your episodes. Brilliant work! I HAVE A "MUST PLEASE IMMEDIATE" QUESTION AS A I HAVE AN IMMEDIATE CHALLENGE...... My frustration is that I was in a restaurant, low lighting, they didn't want flashes going off and people wanted their picture taken. I needed to be within 3 feet of them and needed to capture at least a 6 foot wide range that is crisp, clear, no noise etc. The photographer that was there told me the lens he was using and I lost where I wrote it down. Grrrr.... I really need the same lens he was using to match up with my Canon 7D. I have to shoot in the same conditions this weekend. I really need to know what the top lenses that would work in that kind of environment AND do i shoot in AV, TV, Manual, P or? to get the best out of the lens and the settings. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, if you can please advise. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

The slower the shutter speed you let more light in the faster less light. Depends if your indoor or outdoor as well.

So what shutter speed should I be using for the kit lens of my 60d? Indoors, I have been using between 1/25 to 1/30 shutter speed depending on what zoom I had the lens at.
