hiee canon sweetie, I just want to know that can I use any other lenses like EF-S 55-250 in 650d and make full use of phase detection and contrast af etc. rather than using 18-135 stn lens in even video mode!!!

Actually, only the entry level DSLRs are made of (some pretty durable) polycarbonate, but the more advanced are all made of extremely tough magnesium alloy. So I'm not sure what you're complaining about. The entry levels get plastic to be smaller, lighter, and cheaper (i.e. more affordable for people), while the higher ups are tougher, heavier, and more expensive for more extreme jobs (i.e. professionals).

i think i meant x, y coordinates.. guess i was thinking of a camera that will provide accurate values for x/y positions, perspective, lighting (for recreating shots, but that will probably be its only function, & won't be of much use to digital camera users in general)..

This camera was a gift about 4 years ago, and justu.faith/CanonCamera?司 I still love it! This camera is inexpensive for a digital SLR, and it wonderful for a novice photographer or as a back up camera for a more experienced photographer. The lenses are interchangeable between this and the other Canon SLR cameras, giving it incredible range and versatility.

To bad Canon is no longer combining their best technologies but instead artificially crippling many offerings with things like no 24p or no DPAF in 4K to protect other items in their lineup. This is how the best slip from the top to companies like Sony and Fujifilm who are innovating and offering all of their best tech in each model.

Canon cameras are designed for pro photographers. And that's why I use them. Video is just a gadget to play with is their thinking. I rarely shoot video. And Canon makes some of the greatest custom functions and one touch options that Nikon and Sony try to duplicate but fall short. Cameras like the 1dx mii, 5D miv and Nikon d5 look the same at 102,400. And anything higher they just get blotchy and dirty looking at high magnification. I rarely need anything higher than 3200. At high magnification the picture looses its quality. Nikon d5 allows foolishly high iso's that look awful, it's just an advertisment gimmick for non professionals. The pixel peepers and tech geeks. Although a camera should be fast, when I say fast, I mean how a camera reacts to my commands. A professional chooses a camera with fantastic ergonomics. CANON offers triple back button options with countless possibilities for each of the buttons. Not just dual like it's competition. CANON HAS A FAR MORE ADVANCED CUSTOM CONTROL SETUP AVAILABLE. WITH 9 buttons and 2 dials that can be set with multiple settinga Canon is a camera geared for the pro who needs a fast,14 fps with more custom controls than any DSLR. The 1DX MII is strong and reliable weather proof beast not for the timid. It's for the photographer who loves the feel of a big powerful tool in their hands. Who understands the importance of a ergonomically friendly, well built thought out designed camera body. These are Canons drawing card for pros.

Pro stills photography is very sadly a shrinking market with other brands very competitively taking marketshare from what is left. Video plays a massive role in funding these companies and moving everything forward. Subtly better dials and ergonomics aren't what is driving market forces.
