Well there ya go Nick. You've just achieved something in 20 minutes and 20 seconds that I've spent 30 years trying to do. After watching this, "The Other Arf" has just told me (yes told me), to light a fire while she nips off to the shops to buy the Worlds' supply of chocolate custard and assorted choccy-stuff and bananas. Her sudden interest in bushcraft left me speechless.

What you called brambles we call black berries and are one of my favorite berries, you’ve got to be quick, the birds love them also. I’ll have to hunt for orange chocolate bars. I’ve not seen any here in the middle of the U.S. . Once again thanks for sharing and thank you for your service to your country. I believe it has made both of our countries better.

An alternative use for the bananas (for those who don’t like chocolate) is to slice them long ways at an angle and simply fry them in butter or coconut oil. You could probably add cinnamon or honey (or rum even) to it as well. Very ripe plantains would be even better!

my fave campfire dessert is a kind of cheesecake , get a fairly large deep pot lid .. use ginger nuts for the base ( digestives will do if you have to slum it ) , then pour custard over , then top with grated chocolate / sliced bananas / foraged blackcurrants .. warm it up until the chocolate melts & the custard has softened the biscuit base .. enjoy & feel free to experiment / adapt it

Food looks delicious .I've done the repairs on several Stanley Cup lids for people. When I get them new I remove the plastic tab take an S hook twist the hooks so they are at 90° put one through the loop on the top of the lid and pinch it closed. Now you can lift it off the pot using your spoon or a stick under the open hook ,and the hook won't lay flat . If the loop is broken make a new loop by drilling a hole in the lid and inserting a small eye bolt stainless is recommended with a nut on the outside and a cap nut inside to keep the threads food free.Unfortunately, a pacemaker precludes me from using a welder anymore. Any 750 ml mug lid will also fit so you can get one on line.

Blackberries in the cup portion for instant dine & other half in the MSR pot with remaining chocolate for Ron. (Late’Ron). But otherwise another golden episode Nick. Love it! 👍🤝 🇦🇺

hahaha I saw the marshmallows and biscuit but you did not make "Smore's' translated means, I want some more! For this you will use two biscuits set aside with one piece of chocolate not too thick, put on top one of the biscuits. Then you sit down to cook the marshmallow over the flame getting it hot and expanding without catching it on fire. Then before it falls off the stick, lay the hot marshmallow on top of the chocolat on the biscuit and put the other biscuit on top making a sandwich. Let the hot marshmallow melt the chocolate and enjoy! I think you have these in Britain, every boy scout and girl scout learn this early on hahaha. I would even try the Bounty bar with the coconut. My mom used to make rice cereal and I adapted it like you did for dessert long ago. I had blackberries in my yard growing so, I know that one is delicious. The chocolate bananas, I will try in the oven. Hahahaha Good thing you did not waste any good bite!
