Cantigas de Santa Maria are the largest collection of monophonic songs, written during the reign of Alfonso X of Castile El Sabio (1221-1284) in Spain. The 420 songs praise the Virgin Mary.

Its a Frame drum. Depending on the culture it can be under different names. Bendir is the most common. In this case is a cooperman 20” frame drum. Thanks for comment
