Amazing piece of art. The detail put on this barbecue is just out of this world. To the only one (riddle with me..)making bad comments : don't you have any appreciation for a job well done? Since I built it for someone who believed the only way to barbecue was with briquets and asked me if I would make a BBQ using briquets or charcoal out of a barrel that he supplied me with, I know longer have it, but looking through my rough sketches, it appears that from the face of the bottom angle to the face of the grill angle is 8 1/4". If there's any other measurements that I can help you with that I still have on my sketches, let me know. Sorry for not getting your answer sooner, I don't visit here very often.
