I could reallt see this a the ultimate, qucik D&D map maker, especially if you add, a grided layout and give different art style mod. support. Would be something to spend some money on on, but still, this as lowkey 2d sandbox city builder. 👌🏼

@Dextrosephus Hi, I'm glad you like it! A hex or square grid with adjustable properties is possible. :) I would like to expand the Steam Workshop. In addition to maps, custom assets should also be exchangeable in the future. (By the way, my tool is 3d. There were already ideas to add a first person mode in the future. But this is more a vision than a plan :) )

Just having seen the start so far (2 minutes,) I'm already wondering if they have the ability to place grids and then you could print and use it for dnd maps.

You can add a hex or square grid with adjustable position, rotation, grid size, tile size, color, line thickness, height and opacity. You can export as image as png/jpg/webp with/without grid in high resolution. Webm video export ist also possible. There are also templates for digital use or print like A4. There is also a environment template called Print Friendly. :)

How do you keep the software from generating stuff before the path or plot is finished? Unfortunately, I'm on lower end hardware and the "on the fly generation" makes everything quite sluggish. I have looked through the settings but haven't found anything relating to this on the fly generation...

It looks very nice and random, but I wish it were possible to snap things like paths to the grid, to keep things nice and orderly for D&D maps.
