Recommending the catman2 alpha bundle for those scoping for estimate measurements, missing windows, material takeoffs. It’s got a clipboard pocket and can fit a tablet in a separate pocket. I got tired of putting my clipboard on the ground while I take a photo with my phone and a flashlight.

This is easily one of the hardest things about getting into knocking doors - reliable transportation that’s well suited. In my industry (solar) we typically all liked very fuel efficient vehicles. I always loved driving an “every car”. It looks just like grandmas car and no one knows who it is. Political stickers, loud vehicles, junked up old stuff, none of it flies

Recommendation for a good folio on Amazon?

I've used everything from a standard clip board with a rubber band across the bottom to keep things from flapping in the wind to a "Contractor" style clip board with storage like this: www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Aluminum-Storage-Clipboard-Three-Tier/dp/B07S4C86BL/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=12RNK14UD2I5M&dchild=1&keywords=contractor+clipboard+with+storage&qid=1591028472&sprefix=contractor+clip%2Caps%2C185&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzUjhFRDA2SEtIMkg3JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTczMTgwMldQVDlYNVoyOE9QRiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDU4Njk3MkJHNzAzSkRYUTNRSyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= But in the video is a custom leather one with my initials on it that I got from www.levenger.com/

Any advice for a super green, brand spanking new canvasser? (Besides keep knocking on doors and shrugging off rejections lol) I walk from home to home, I have some basic product knowledge, and would really like some advice for the lead generation side of this as I dont make any sales at the door. I just scheduale free estimates as of right now. I feel i can do better but dont have any direction in how to do so if that makes sense 😅

Welcome to the industry, Yared :) My advice is to "search" my channel and watch everything you can :) I cover door to door scripts, overcoming objections, when and how to set appointments, and how to cater your pitch to the perfect scenario for the home owner. Subscribe and start binging!

Love your channel, love the content! Couldn’t disagree more about having a lesson on being clean cut with hair out everywhere? I’d train em to man bun that shizz and tuck it under the hat! That’s what I teach my reps anyways. That being said, I’m exactly the same way with the pen! How you gonna get them to approve an agreement without a pen? Lol (I’m old school and still use paper)
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Hey James! Glad we are on the same page. Ok to disagree about the hair ;) In later videos, you'll see it in a man bun. In the last week's videos, you'll see it's all shaved off because I donated it to a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer. Clean up the best ya can for sure though! And YES 100% on the pen. I'm "old school" in many respects as well. If it ain't broke - don't fix it, right?

Such a bad example to drive door to door
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Why do you say that? I've had incredible success doing it. Not necessarily for every single door, but when I am targeting specific homes or trying to catch people outside it has been a great way to win business and be even more effective/efficient with door to door sales time.
@angelreyna56864 жыл бұрын
It's a great tip ofcourse. But if you're trying to canvass the whole neighborhood (depending on what industry you're in) then it's a huge waste of time
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
@@angelreyna5686 Agree with ya on this. If you're targeting certain homes, driving can be a great way to save time. But if you're hitting EVERY door, it's not.

Drive door to door???? Lolololol giving this a thumbs down
@TheRoofStrategist3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jaxon, I respect your thumbs up or thumbs down -- either way - you gotta do what works for you. If your role is strictly canvassing, then hitting every door makes sense. If you're opening a new neighborhood, hitting every door and walking makes sense. At the same time, I personally have had really good success targeting specific homes and driving into the driveway. So has Mitch (interview here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYuuepenituYgck ) who used the same approach and earned $177k in his first year of roofing sales. He is on track to do $300k this year. Run with what suits ya.
