My advice if you want to sell more roofs are, be genuine and make it about the roofs not the money. And I was taught something that I find useful but it's more of a mindset thing. You have to make your wants larger than your don't wants. Nobody wants to be rejected but I want success much more than I don't want rejection. Every day before you face rejection remind yourself of your wants. I want success, I want riches, I want freedom, I want a better life for me and my family. My not wanting to knock doors and be rejected disappears.

Love the mind set Joe. Reminds me of the book, The Magic of Thinking Big. And what Brian Tracy says, "we become what we think about most of the time." If we are fearful, anxious, worried, or thinking about what we don't want, that's what shows up. Stay focused on where you want to go!

Beautiful advice. This is one of the most challenging yet fulfilling jobs I've ever tried my hand at. I love it but is also probably the most difficult thing I've ever done. Without the right mindset, you're absolutely right, you are done before you even start.

Adam, this just helped me remind myself of who I am. I started sales when I was like 23 yo in the car business. I am a 47 yo woman now who has known a lot of what you have been teaching here but sort of forgot about it, I let someone else with no goals, aspirations or desire to be better bring me down to a high debt point. Shame on me. Thanks a million for such powerful videos. Now that I'm in the construction field and have learned so much about this industry, and with your inspirational words, I know I can get out of the mess and leave the dead weight behind. Thanks a million!

Great stuff Adam. I was mostly doing this already with my customers and this helped me organize my thoughts and how I approach future jobs.

Glad it was helpful! I find that sometimes I learn something with a new "lens" so to speak, and all of a sudden it makes things clear. Things I was already doing are given a framework or deeper understanding that help me get even better.

I got a system called PARKCAR........ Pretty easy all you got to do is PARK CAR get out and knock door. Repeat 50+ times or until I get my business.
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Thats a great system and I agree its great for generating new leads, but it doesn't address CLOSING. The formula I teach in this video is exactly what to do in your sales appointment, AFTER you get the lead :) (applies for inbound leads and canvassed leads etc)

You'll need to test both and see what works best for you. I'm teaching what I've proven works best for me and the hundreds of people that I've coached. But everyone is different and my style ain't for everyone. I'd love to hear your feedback after you try both.

Adam you refer to a "contingency agreement" is this still relevant or would you recommend a service agreement, or lump sum contract with a price, or other?
@TheRoofStrategist2 жыл бұрын
I still am a fan of Contingency Agreements :) Contract amount $ can be documented, and use a change order for supplements.

Do you think that generating leads online is necessary? And if so how should I start
@TheRoofStrategist2 жыл бұрын
Necessary? No. Nice? 100%. Start by working with a company who knows what they are doing so you don’t pour money down the drain. Give Roofer Marketers a close look.

Would be hard to get invited to the Kitchen table knowing I just met the homeowner and I’m stranger to them?
@TheRoofStrategist3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. I teach how in a few of my videos. It’s very simple. “Where can we sit down out of the sun so I can show you what I found on your roof?” - 9/10 times they invite you inside. Or at least to the porch to sit down together. I teach this in great detail - and how to run the sales presentation and close in my CARPARK Closing Formula.

I’m 6 minutes in and you still haven’t “presented the formula” Just get into it man. Your video retention would go way up
