Today was my first time out knocking doors. I was able to work with a trainer for most of the day and I noticed that she never asked their names. I started asking everyone their name and they always had a little smile when they introduced themselves. It’s like just taking the time to acknowledge that I’m talking to another person not just trying to sell a roof helped disarm also

Thank You, Thank You, Thank you for making this video. I've watched so many videos and none of them were as detailed, clear cut, and concise. I've recently started my own window cleaning and pressure washing business, and have went D2D, and to store fronts, and I'm looking back there are some things I need to change. I mean I always smiled, and came off friendly, but the head nod, the eyebrow raise, and the pause is what I needed. Thank you again for this valuable advice and information.

I typically start but just smiling, saying hi, asking how they are and using a mutual topic. Be it weather, or if they have dogs, how the day is.. etc. I used to start with my pitch, but getting to know said person and treating them like a friend is what has always brought me people.. and those people know people and then send me over.

You are 100% right. In life people judge you in the first 2-3 seconds. They are either saying to themselves- I like this guy or this guy is an idiot. People buy from people they like even if your product or service is not as good as your competitor. People won’t buy from you if they don’t like you even if your product or service is better than your competitor.
