Picked up a Grizl back in March of this year and have been absolutely loving it! Like you mentioned its really nice having a bike that is capable of doing so many different things. Mine is a 2-by so I sort of wish I would have waited until they had 1-by options available, but that is an easy change if I really want to go that route.

Nice one! The specs seems to change frequently, hard to time it perfectly right isn’t it

Tnx for the review, i am having a problem buying the one with rockshox or without... I have not seen a single comparison between these two. Anyways, cheers!

I have the same color, also with aerobars but small size. Never tried it as a road bike with thinner tires, but I am curious now to see how it would do. However I have it geared more for the dirt with suspension dropper post and 50mm tires.

Nice! It works well as a roadie on the standard gearing, but its hilly where I live and I don’t ride it fast 🤣

Great video. I bought the Ekar CF SLX last year to replace my 2016 Diverge, but returned it when the Specialized Creo 2 came out (the Grizl didn't even get taken out of the box). I'm enjoying the powered fun, but I'll be getting another Grizl in the not-too distant future. Having to worry about power isn't an issue under 130-150km depending on your riding, but I need something that'll cover the whole country. I think they're amazing value, and I probably wouldn't even bother with the SLX level next time.

Awesome, e-Gravel opens up a lot more doesn't it, just need massive batteries for proper adventures as you say. As they become more common, more cafe's etc will have charging points
@monguzzle7 ай бұрын
@@TriathlonDan Yeah, it's a load of fun. I work just as hard - but the rides are over more quickly. I do miss the "grab and go" of a regular setup though, to the extent that I'd probably even get non-Di2 GRX on my Grizl when I order it. I want to be able to take it to the US for some of the West Coast rides without worrying over charging mech batteries, etc.

Nice work. When I went for my gravel bike I got it for everything like yours but it frame. I was using it to commute before I had to move. As long no salt on the roads I was planning on using it. Cheers

Hi there! Thanks for the review :) One question, what are the reference of your aerobar, they look really good ! Thank you and have a nice day!

Thanks :) they’re just cheap eBay ones, with George Fox arm rests 👍

Thanks for the review! I'm curious of you height ? It's somewhat impossible to get chance to test drive Canyon bikes here in Finland. I'm 191cm/6"3 myself, and i'm pondering between L/XL? Much appriciated for your answer in advance.
@TriathlonDan Жыл бұрын
No problem! I'm 188cm and the L fits me great. Check the Canyon size guide calculator, it measures inseam as well from memory so that'll be a better guide. I've got an XL Endurace which is older and this L Grizl is almost exactly the same geometry wise even though on paper its a size smaller

Hi FIN, have you got the bike? I'm of same height and also a bit in doubt. Thanks. Bye

How do you find this bike and 1 by group set on the road can’t decide if to get 1 by grizl or a 2by grail
@TriathlonDan Жыл бұрын
A lot better than I thought it would be on the road, tops out around 25/26mph so might be a problem on chaingangs but absolutely fine for training :)

Thank you Dan very much! Question - if somone is just getting into triathlon, but planing complite an full ironman in 2 years, and can afford one bike - is that Canyon bike is a smart choice?
@TriathlonDan Жыл бұрын
Canyon as a brand for sure! I’ve got an Endurace and an Aeroad, get the bike you can ride every day. Go and see a good bike fitter and they’ll be able to advise you what bike is best for your body, different brands have different geometries 👍
@aprilkramer7849 Жыл бұрын
Do you know if this bike is compatible with a Wahoo trainer?
@TriathlonDan Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure to be honest, I'd assume so but I do know Canyon don't recommend their bikes are used on turbos period, bit weird!

I have the Grizl CF SLX 8 Di2 without the Rock Shox fork. I love it. I love how responsive and fast it feels. It is like a road bike. However, after hours of hard riding on gravel, my shoulders, arms and hands are completely shattered.

Nice! Me too, it's really hard isn't it. More strength work required for me :D

If you want to change the reach because your not comfortable there is not much you can do because of the nonstandard 1 1/4 inch steerer tube. There are not many options for a stem for that steerer tube. Most steerer tubes are 1 1/8 inches. I wanted one of these bikes but that caused me not to buy it. Stack and reach are extremely important to me because that determines comfort.
