Firebrand. What an awesome character that Capcom never really exploited as they did with The Blue Bomber... Just a quick FYI: In Japan the game was called "Demon's Blazon", so watching the Super Famicom with Demon's Crest was kind of funny. Awesome work, awesome channel. Your work is great.

Man I wonder how many times I completed Chiki Chiki Boys as a kid. The best thing about the MD version was that the character would swing his sword as rapidly as you could press the button and that just felt great for the time. And of course the fanservicey PC Engine lets you save girls in its version of the game. I recently found out that I have the animated Cadillacs and Dinosaurs series on a hard drive that was just collecting dust in my closet. Saw the first episode a while back and it might be worth a watch. The arcade version of that game was awesome too :)

A good beat em up in the same vein as Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is The Punisher. The Punisher and Nick Fury as player two team up to stab, punch, and shoot their way to a confrontation with the Kingpin. The arcade game only got a release on the Genesis, though.

Pretty cool that Demon's Crest ended up on the Super Nintendo Online library. I still have my SNES physical but nice to know I can load it on my Switch instead of having to drag my SNES out.

Marcel Weber it’s a CPS1 (dash) game, based on the Motorola 6800, the same CPU powering SEGA’s System 16 and the Mega Drive. Its alluded 32bit capabilities come from the same silly maths that say the Jaguar was 64bit. It’s a 16bit game through and through.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs runs on the CPS board which has a 16-bit Motorola 68000 like many other arcade boards at the time and for instance the Mega-Drive.
