Magnificent video, technically impressive, super educational and rich in knowledge, I am really ultra happy to finally understand all this with 30 years late because in the 90s, there was no internet to teach me all of this, and our teachers in schools had no knowledge of its technologies. I didn't have a programmer next to me to teach me all of this. Better late than never. Thank you so much !!!!

The constant menuing is atrocious in this game. I honestly don’t mind the combat. It’s the constant terrible menuing that kills the game for me. Press up and it feels like you scroll down. The circle always messes with me so i hit left and the menu spins right. It feels polluted. And having to switch weapons between the other 2 heroes and change their attack positions and if they way to do a charge attack and all this other riff raffle. Holy smoke i bloody hate the menu in this game. It polluted the game for me.

It’s absolutely beautiful ! I just discovered your channel and I am shocked for not having known all of this in the 90s during my art studies. No one knew how it was all. No student, or even the best were able to make drawings of this level. It proves that we were all shabby and that we could never have worked in video games or cinema. The technical level is far too high for what I was able to do despite 6 years in an art school to try to become a professional day. The work does not pay in art or the efforts that have been trying for years to try to improve. It is the most ungrateful job in the world and the most unsatisfactory in the world. Some people have brains made for this job, others no and work will not change anything. If you are zero in drawing do not waste your time in an art school and go to study another job. My advice will save you from working hard for nothing.

I always liked seeing how the Commodore Amiga played its part in creating art for games on other consoles, I used Amiga's Deluxe Paint a lot with pixel art and animated sprite frames, I had so much fun with Deluxe Paint IV.

I fear and anticipate your eventual Xenogears video essay. Fear, for it means it's an old title which you usually cover and I love it dearly. Anticipate, because your quality is a standard few replicate. And I know you will do it justice. Xenogears originally was supposed to bw a Chrono Trigger sequel as well as a potential Final Fantasy title before it became something more. Its development history was nuts. From budget cuts to crunch forcing the second disc to become a visual novel for most of its gameplay. On top of an untrained programming team having been pushed on the director. He still perservered and even did not blame his bosses and took the blame for the quality of the end product. Something he had to do in my eyes to save face of others, which is important in Japanese culture. Ultimately we got Xenoblade and its sequels so I am very happy. They just don't make games like the ones you cover anymore, indies are our only hope really. 2.5D is eh, okay but nothing like Secret of Mana's overhead experience.

Just amazing, such great artists and developers. All together to make my absolute favorite game on SEGA MD. played so much time with my little brother and father. Found some bugs that made the game so funny. Like on stadium part just before the elevator, with the two big guys, on some condition when they are close enough and the player punch in the same time both big guys were doomed to infinite beat.. Until one of them finally passed. Then only one is left with the two players. 😂😂😂So much fun. Soundtracks were incredible ❤.

I remember that from the mid-90s in gaming magazines one of the features that determined a positive review was the number of 3D or FMV cinematic scenes.
