They put the producer of Mega Man 11 on Street Fighter 6, and after he finished that game, he left the company. He was the only one post-Inafune who was pushing for Mega Man. Now, they claim they don't know what to do with the franchise, but they have no issue squeezing profit from the fans through gacha games, merch, collabs, etc. Mega Man games are extremely cheap and fast to develop, and they made their money back with Mega Man 11 and then some, and they already know what to expect sales-wise from the franchise. They don't expect MH numbers. DMC only came back because of years of fan outcry and a reboot that wasn't well received, Resident Evil underperformed and divided its community and had to course correct after RE6, Street Fighter had an extremely poor launch with V and had to slowly get to an acceptable state. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite essentially killed that series up until very recently. Not to mention the insane sale expectations they keep putting on games that they never meet. Capcom isn't perfect, they make a lot of dumb decisions that they had to correct, and we're in an era where alot of the people who run these big companies don't fully understand gaming or even how to properly invest into the future of a franchise. Not having a Mega Man champion, and letting the series flounder is one of them. I don't mind these collabs, but you can't have all these new people become invested in the franchise through these collections and do nothing with it.

@SilverDragonGaming-k7l If I'm gonna be honest, and it'll likely sound controversial because no one wants to see a repeat of it, I'd probably add in sections akin to X7. However, I would also fine tune the gameplay. Have enemies specifically for 2D sections only appear in 2D sections and have enemies meant for 3D sections only appear in 3D sections. The lock-on would be exclusive to Axl and can be turned off, further expand his A-Trans, giving it more usefulness, and get rid of that stupidly terrible decision to have Axl ground himself while shooting unless using more powerful weapons. Story wise, I'd have the game set during the Elf Wars, have all three playable characters return with Zero having his MegaMan Zero body, and possibly include a character you can make yourself, totalling up to four playable characters.

@@BaxterAndLunala Interesting. Yes, I agree that only Axl should have the lock-on, because that was really annoying when I played MMX7. Im not really a fan of X7, and I think thats mainly due to the bad voice acting, and the lock-on thing. The elf wars would be an interesting place to set the story, because you'd have Zero in his other body, therefore, the main villain would have to be Dr. Weil, and not Sigma.

Yeah. I do get that Capcom suffered the consequences of oversaturation of Megaman in the past but I do think they've over corrected. Let the franchise breathe, that's fine, but don't let it hyperventilate either which it is at this point. These kinds of collabs are never going to be a problem for me. If a new game came out and these collabs continued to happen almost no one would bat an eye about it.

I honestly think Capcom should take a more world building and story approach to Mega Man. I think the overall game should be a 2.5D platformer, but with extra steps and more content. Like a Lego Marvel Super Heroes/Lego Star Wars TSS type of world building. Theres Hub worlds and different challenges and character development for different characters, but when you enter a level, it's the same 2D platformer you know and love

2nd actual real comment. I think that if any game would translate to a 3D style game it would be mega man. Imagine like, Portal (without the portal gun) but with 8 worlds to choose and then you get a powerup you can use in the next stage and so on and so forth. If they made the weapons worth a damn, it would make an AMAZING style of game, even if I personally don't like FPS that much, it's undeniable that the mega man formula would pwn combined with FPS.

Mega Man showed up in Smash Brothers and I thought it was cool because of his representation outside of his games and spin offs. I saw the Brawlhalla ads and I *almost* wanted to get it (because Mega Man) but it is not a *Mega Man* game, so like, why bother? Plus it's a limited time thing so even IF the Blue Bomber is AWESOME when they introduce Ariana Grande as the next crossover, or whatever, I'm only playing a game because of the limited time moment he was somewhat relevant. I understand boosting the IP to (maybe) get another mainline release, but at the same time, I honestly feel like it is really actually only boosting the idea that crossovers are profitable so he can show up in Slow Life Isikai or Candy Crush Saga or whatever.

I can actually tell you as a brawlhalla fan that this is not good. From several reasons it's bad from every angle and only people who ride on BMG say it's good. 1. Brawlhalla likes cheap ips This is self explanatory, but Brawlhalla most of the time does crossovers with less popular or straight up dead franchises. Megaman is a good example since it has been ignored hard. 2. Megaman is a $20 skin Straight up because of how Megaman is uses only one Mega Buster. In Brawlhalla legends use two blasters, but obviously Megaman needs a rework for that to happen. So mythic. 3. No new map Whenever a new crossover drops we get a new map, but none for Megaman. Which is super lame. 4. One skin crossover A crossover should bring a lot to the table, but here they brought us an overly expensive stale crouton and no Protoman or Bass. Absolutely unforgivable 5. Smash did it Brawlhalla is 100% going out of their way to take Smash's sloppy seconds and make them worse. This is the 4th time they have included characters Smash already did. Ryu, Ken, Simon Belmont, and now Megaman. 6. Smash, but worse Instead of trying to innovate and do their own unique thing they were lazy and basically copied Smash Megaman's Copy Abilities. BMG is so lazy and pathetic that they didn't even both to look through any of Megaman's various abilities to represent outside of the ones Smash Mega has. And if you expect quality from them you are in the wrong game my guy. 7. They wanna boost a legend's usage. Vivi is an absolutely mid legend compared to others. Literally every other battle boots legend is significantly better than her in every way. So they put Megaman on her as a way to get more people to play her as a way to artificially provide interest. Brawlhalla is not a good game whatsoever. It's too toxic and unbalanced save yourself your time and money and please skip.
