I agree with Bosmans core message. Capcom still tries, they're not giving up on the industry. And i'll add to this by saying they do genuinely care about the fans. Capcom-Unity wouldnt exist if they didnt. Okami on the DS wouldnt exist if they didn't. Phoenix Wright in MvC3 wouldn't exist if they didnt. Capcom never deserved the hate theyve gotten. I love their library more than any other 3rd party.

According to Wikipedia, Okamiden was made by some developer called Mobile & Game Studio, Inc, who I have never heard of and probably wouldn't be able to make a third game. Heres hoping Capcom decides to find another developer or make a third game internally.

Great video, Kyle. You echo my sentiments exactly. I like Capcom. I always have. Yes, there are times I want to go to their office in Japan and give them all a good thrashing and yell "What the hell are you guys doing?!?!", and there have been times where they've just made me plain sad. But through it all, they're a pillar of this industry. A true legend. And they continue to make good games. When the games they make aren't good, it usually isn't for a lack of trying. Just look at the unique, interesting stuff they brought last gen with stuff like Asura's Wrath, Dragon's Dogma, and Remember Me. Nobody else makes games like that. Props to Capcom. Long may they live!

Capcom's Monster Hunter makes me super happy. Good design, amazing gameplay and silly funny moments everywhere. DLC with colaborations with their other IPs, Nintendo, Anime, etc, all free for the players. Learning curve puts off some players, but like their fighting games, when you learn how to play them and use all your personal tricks to be faster and improve, it becomes nonstop crazy action, you versus the monster. The MonHun team is like, the best thing Capcom has right now IMO.

People that complain about the "Lackluster" Street Fighter V individual character stories or General Story mode, have never played through Super Smash Wii U to the end. Each character in Smash literally just has an 8 second montage of poses, and random cuts of them doing their special moves. Not even a line of spoken dialogue either.
@XxXxXxCringeMasterxXxXxX8 жыл бұрын
Apples to oranges comparison.
@hunterparah19528 жыл бұрын
That's literally how every Smash Bros. game except for Brawl has been. It was never a story mode, it was an arcade mode, like every Street Fighter game has also had.

If you're comparing full individual stories to 8-second montage poses, then anybody complaining about the lackluster story mode is completely justified.
