I can't wait for wilds, I am excited about them forcing on making gunning for HBG fun again. Rise/sunbreak really did HBG dirty with adding nothing new or when they did it was so trash that it was a DPS trap. Tho I hope we keep the side dash, and the shoulder tackle. Those were the only good things rise add to hbg Oh and a new ammo type that not dog shit would be nice

I played SnS in frontier and yes, the slide was in the moveset. I'm glad they're remembering stuff from this game and hope they add even more.

I only played Frontier for about 20h (definitely plan on returning) and it's always cool to see the devs bringing back stuff from the game

I've never played Frontier and I think a lot of stuff wouldnt fit with the more grounded artistic direction of MHWilds. That being said, BRING RAVIENTE, SHANTYIEN, PARIAPURIA, AKURAS, GURENZEBURU, KUARUSEPUSU AND GIVE 'EM THAT NEW GEN LIFTING LIKE SUNBREAK DID WITH BOTH ESPINAS. And also, if they bring back both Espinas, I would love to see a glowed up version of the white one, since orange became one of my favorite monsters in the entire franchise

I honestly love the way they made the minimap 3d. Having its "perspective" be at an angle instead of top-down is such a simple but effective solution.

Yeah depending on monster color schemes, and how much they took that into consideration with the wounds themselves, the glowing wounds aspect of focus mode could be very useful for players with poor eyesight like myself or simply just make it easier to spot in the heat of battle. I love that what is essentially an accessibility feature is built right into a game mechanic like this and it's optional, if you don't like it then use focus mode less i guess. Seeing that you can turn the gs tcs is cool, kind of like how gl can turn with wyvern fire, I hope that for many weapons' sake you can also adjust attacks vertically too with focus mode. Weak points seams to mean not only wounds but natural weak points as well. The tongue of the frog has a glow and that wasn't wounded so i guess hitting it when it's out of its mouth will do more damage. I'm a bit worries about focus strikes and damage disparities between weapons, looks like you can have 4 wounds on a monster, 1 for each player, but if the damage is too far apart you will have people wining that you didn't let them do a lap around the monster to pop all of them for more damage than the rest of you get with this system. I hope that doens't happen and hh mains can just make a wound where ever while exhausting the monster and applying buffs. No, s&s has a shield so it's not an evasion weapon lol Wait, this video released 6 hours ago? Did he miss the last video or did he record this yesterday. Um hbg was the second weapon shown.

at 9:34 you mention you think that it only would highlight wounds and broken areas. it does seem to highlight the toungue of the monster which hasn't been damaged. i feel like this hints at it hightlighting weakpoints that show up through phase transitions or attacks, like how dodogama has his jaw take more damage the hotter it is

the slide with the SS was a move to replace the hop advance. In Rise if you connect an attack after the slide, you would be vaulted upwards for an opportunity to bash.

while the animation is similar to the rise slide, the function is clearly more in the direction of the frontier slide - a repositioning tool, rather than an advance into an aerial attack

4:30 I don't think that is a TCS. TCS is the last 3rd portion of the string after Charge Slash > Strong Charge Slash > True Charge Slash (TCS). In the video it looks like just the first part of Charged Slash. So its not TCS. But yeah i really hope we can also change direction 360 degree on TCS too.

I need a demo man, my body needs more monster hunter, i am tired or rise and world i need more man....mh is truly a powerful drug. The only thing it seems off is the damage effect it doesn't have any impact it feels weak.

Honestly one thing I miss is the old school monster icons. They just have so much charm and knowing that icon is basically what would be drawn onto the paper for the quest we accept just makes it kinda more personal fo me

@@itsthequenchiest5072 Not really. It's a guard point. It's not a manual counter, a special point in the attack animation that you can automatically guard with. CB used to be the only weapon that could do this.

So there are 13 left, assuming they don't pull a sneaky sneaky and there is some new weapon they're just not even showing on the web page to keep sleuths like yourself guessing. It might be best to just break it up into 3 groups of 3, and then the final 4th one is the last 4 weapons.

They are doing one a day till the event. What's interesting is they will run out of weapons 2 days before. So we may have a returning ''new'' weapon in one of the ones from the other non mainline games, Highly unlikely though. More likely we may get 2 more general trailers or possibly nothing those last 2 days.

I agree, world feels the least like a mh game,more of a walking simulator, i do think it ruined the series, rise/sunbreak was the best
