so amazing how fast capcut keeps adding features. I'm starting to use Final Cut now and the integration with motion is the biggest benefit for me. once capcut can add a marketplace and editting tools for titles and effects and improved full 3d support there will really be no reason to use anything else.

You can double click a compound clip to edit it, this way you dont have to "Undo/redo compound" everytime you need to make a change. It took me 6 month to find out but it is a game changer!, I hope anybody find this useful!

I guess if you really want a y-axis rotation you could always flip the video sideways do the rotation, render the result and then flip the result back sideways again. Quite a convoluted work around but I guess it would work.

What are the advantedges in importing a project vs just making that project a compound clip and saving as a preset to import on a different project? Both seem to accomplish the exact same thing in a similar amount of steps. I get thats totally a feature it should of had a while ago, but is there any real improvement or advantages over the other existing method?
@OnlisonКүн бұрын
Media crossover. When you complete and export a project you only have access to the finished project in most programs. With this feature, if you spent 11 hours working on a very special animation, and you want to utilize it, you can essentially “import”/“load” just that 1 thing you need, for the project you’re working on. Better programs have this feature, lackluster programs don’t. It’s almost a hallmark of a professional vs non professional program.

@@Onlison Unless im misunderstanding, that in my eyes doesnt change anything for me. For example i have a heavily edited intro i use for a series that i put a lot of time in, all i did was go back to the 1st episode and made a compound clip of that intro part and saved as a preset and now can import it at any point into any project and didnt need a seperate project to then import to another project, i was able to just take what i needed. Same results in a similar process and steps, so i am still here wondering what the actual diffence or advantage is. Again i may just not be picking up what your putting down exactly but from what i gathered from your response, I dont feel clarified from what i was asking.
@Onlison21 сағат бұрын
@ Your good friend, so in a nutshell the way it was previously presented in CapCut is that you could import your entire project, just not individualized assets. I’m sure you can imagine a sequence or two in your own experiments that you’ve spent 1-10 hours on (some long time) and the sequence maybe has heavy key framing or motion graphics. The result of the current setup is that you can now manipulate your original assets setup in your new project, vs before; you could only work with the finished exported version. Maybe Trevor should make a video dedicated to this huh? It’s probably easier to see than me to explain. In any case, it’s good to meet you and make a new friend, hope this helps some.

Something worth sharing is that CapCut (on the desktop) has a little bar graph icon towards the top when you open the app and it’s a feature to participate in a survey. This survey is asking which features you want the most when using their software. They show in their survey what is mentioned in this video like multiple timelines and you can even vote for which you prefer or simply want.

I can’t get CapCut to auto renew because apple wont process the payment and I’m not paying double for them because I can pay for other ai apps enhanced editors that will actually assist in editing ….. I know you’re big on CapCut and I was too it’s a simple powerful editor- but I just can’t proceed with them when the switch can just be flipped off the way it was.

Does anyone know why it takes hours literally hours to export a finished project that is only a 15 minute long video? I usually just export them overnight so in the morning I have them there and it doesn't tie my computer up.

Just out of curiosity, what's the renewal fee for Capcut that side of the pond? UK Renewal is £10.99 ($13.63) Monthly, £99.99 ($124.00) annually, £119.99 ($148.80) For a year.
@TrevorJonescreatorКүн бұрын
Renewal for me is I think 89.99 and I’ve seen monthly at 19.99 but it’s not in the App Store so I hope that monthly is a mistake.
@OnlisonКүн бұрын
Standard is 90.00& If you cancel your subscription (even if you have a yearly Trevor) in your subscription queue, then purchase in November around Black Friday or Cyber Monday they’ll usually knock 30-50$ off. It’ll come up as a duplicate subscription in your queue; it’ll ask you if you’re sure because it detects you could have multiple billing; you confirm, it’s about 40$ yearly. (Tip) 🤫
@jerbear197Күн бұрын
@Onlison I purchased during a sale and it cost me about £50 but now they're looking for double that. Not sure I want to continue at that price.
@OnlisonКүн бұрын
@ You raise a valid point my friend. Once you’re in certain “zones” (price ranges) there’s a lot of competition; at 100$+ my only recommendation is how YOU FEEL about the product. I can think of countless things people pay for; which give them nothing in return. If you feel like it’s a good investment; that’s probably all that matters. Stay creative friend ✌️

@@ahmedkalair9862 OK I’ve developed a plan in the last 20 minutes. While driving my grandkids were watching one of my old sailing videos on my travel channel. I got a boat last summer and sailed it from Los Angeles to in San Francisco over the course of nine days. I have a ton of footage and it was a really fun trip. I’ve been meaning to go through the footage to send it to my editor. It’s a pretty big project. But I’m thinking maybe I’ll edit it myself, in Resolve. After one big project, I should have a pretty good handle on DaVinci. I still really like editing, it’s just a matter of time.
@ahmedkalair986222 сағат бұрын
@@TrevorJonescreatorThat sounds like an incredible project! Sailing from LA to SF must've been an amazing experience, and editing something that meaningful will make learning Resolve even more enjoyable. No rush, take your time and enjoy the process-whenever you're ready to share your insights, we'll all be there. Looking forward to seeing what you create and learn!

I’ve seen that. I’m hoping it goes down when it’s back in the App Store. But I agree: that’s too high for a simple app like CapCut. Yearly is still $89 for me, which seems fair. But that’s renewal. Not sure what it would be for new sign ups.
