Ever heard of a Dagga Boy? These solitary old buffalo bulls are the rugged warriors of the African bush,extremely dangerous and often found near waterholes, caked in mud - "dagga" in the local language. This is a crazy bow hunt where Dudley stalks into close range to a massive group of DAGGA Boys and delivers a perfect heart shot. Then the adrenaline gets pumping as the battle for new Dominance takes place by the two biggest Buffalo in the wild! The Hoyt RX9 Ultra and the Easton FMJ Dangerous game was perfect! This was 100% free roaming fair chase cape buffalo.

Testament to the RX-9 being an absolute HAMMER, and all the work you put in during pre-season. I was eager to see what kind of penetration and knockdown an arrow would have on one of those mammoths. Impressive indeed sir! 🫡

No, absolutely not. He’s literally trying to finish off his companion to prevent him from drawing predators to the herd, even if it’s only 2-3 old guys. Pick any of the buffalo or bison species and you’ll see this exact same behavior: the wounded are kicked out or killed to keep predators busy with them instead of the herd and the precious calves.

So a few people have made comments about Chris bees hunt and you seem really passionate about the topic so I’m wondering if you would like to share your opinion. Just so we are clear on the facts. Chris bee took a quartering toward shot. Unsuccessful. Later on he took 4 broadside shots. Multiple arrows had full penetration. The first arrow was 100% a lethal shot with full penetration. Those things are tanks and take a bit to die, so that’s why he had the follow up shots. Dudley’s buffalo was fighting another buffalo for a little bit then was still alive getting beat up by the other buffalo (still alive like Chris bees). So my 2 questions are #1: do you think an 800gn arrow would have penetrated and killed the first quartering towards shot that Chris’s be was unsuccessful on. #2: his light arrow had full penetration on the first shot similar to Dudley’s. What more do you want? If I have misunderstood anything that happened, please correct me.

@@Thee.flyingg.pigg24. My thoughts exactly. Chris isnt near as experienced as Dudley. Not only was he using a lighter arrow. But also a heavier draw weight. And a farther shot. His arrow still penetrated the same on the similar shot. He used the “ shoot em till they’re down “ method which is clearly the right thing to do, but he got bad criticism for it. Yet he still killed the animal. And his didn’t get beat up the whole time it was dying either.

Noticed that they always cut the BH out of the video. Wonder if he’s using something that hasn’t been released yet? Also, honest question: we could still see the fletching sticking bout in the shot side so how did they “bury to the opposite side”? Either way, this was awesome and congratulations!!

Wow amazing how everything me and ranch fairy have been preaching for years now is everything Dudley used in this hunt heavy arrows. Dudley knows it heavy arrows and single bevel broad heads just get the best penetration. But Dudley cut every part of video out that shows the broadhead. Because he bashed ranch fairy on a podcast about light arrows and expandables are perfect for everything on the planet and mars. Well welcome to reality Dudley boy glad u aren’t dumb enough to shoot Black Death with a 425 grain arrow and a flimsy expandable.
@chadyoak1633
@chadyoak1633 Ай бұрын
Didn’t seem to me that Dud got a bit more penetration than Chris B. Chris’s first shot sunk up to the fletch just like duds did. Chris just kept shooting until it died even though the first shot was absolutely lethal. There’s no doubt the heavier the arrow and the smaller the cut on the broadhead the better it’ll penetrate. So you should definitely adjust your gear to match the animal. There’s only 1 advantage to a heavier and smaller cut, that’s penetration. Is it needed on a whitetail deer? Absolutely not. My setup is an rx8 ultra, 31.5” draw on 65 pounds, 280 fps, 478 grain arrow, 2” cut swacker 2 blade. Still blows through a deer shot in the right spot, right behind the shoulder. Absolutely devastating wound channel. Would I shoot that at a Cape buffalo? Not a chance. Dud’s biggest argument with ranch fairy was that all this tuning/testing he’s doing the results aren’t very accurate at all because ranch fairy just simply can not shoot good enough to tell if cutting 1/4” of your arrow is changing your tune. He has people chasing their tail when it comes to tuning an arrow and 95% of them just simply needs more practice instead of 1/4” cut off their arrows.

You're so strange. So is he supposed to hunt cape buffalo in the jungle where it's thick or something? Last time I checked you hunt animals where they live. If that's in a pasture that's in a pasture not like he shot it from a thousand yards away with a rifle he stalked it. He can't hunt cape buffalo in a pasture in Iowa. And besides that so you're going to tell me if a 200-in deer is not where you think it's supposed to be You're not going to shoot it?
