Brother that hunt was epic. Anyone who thinks that big game hunting, and especially hunting the 'black death', is a one sided affair should watch this hunt. The scars on that buffalo was an epitaph to the days he battled to the death, and he was hell bent on destroying you. That you held your nerve and ended him was a fitting demise for a battle scared warrior. You must have a set of balls that any buffalo bull would be proud of,lol, that video was a privilege to watch, thank you my friend.

I have a friend who worked at Lion Country Safari in Atlanta Georgia back in the mid-70's. He was in his late 20's then. One of his jobs was to feed certain animals. On the day he got hired his boss told him that the Cape Buffalo is the most dangerous animal in the world to humans and that he should be very careful when going near them. As I recall they were kept on a small island which he had to access by a small John boat, and he didn't venture very far onto the island to put out the feed. In other words he stayed close to the boat.

"Most places that end in stan..." Yeah, that just about says it all. In '71, my cousin was hunting buffalo in hill country in S. Africa. He was crawling on his hands and knees through the brush and stopped when he could feel the breath of the buffalo. He couldn't hear him or see him only feel the air but he shot anyway and at the same instant that the buffalo put it in gear. That is working pretty close to your animal. I really enjoyed your video!

My Grandfather was a big game hunter in India, he shot 7 man eating tigers and a Snow leopard which entered his tent during a blizzard in the Himilayers and killed and then ate his Old English Sheepdog. He tracked it for 4 days and killed it. I have the skin hanging on my wall along with the Tolley 500 double express that killed it.
