Cape Disappointment is Anything But Disappointing!

We visit every July, and it never gets old visiting Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington! The history, from native history, to Lewis and Clark and military battlements, it’s amazing. Perched at the mouth of the Columbia River it is known as the Graveyard of the Pacific because of the treacherous conditions for ships crossing the bar. But it’s beauty is captivating and the park and surrounding area are full of family friendly things to do!
It’s worth a visit to the park, neighboring Astoria, Long Beach and more!
