Phil would have been deeply honoured by the dedication. A lovely video, and great music. My children and I continue to support your YT content just as Phil did. Your videos brought him such joy, especially when he could no longer get outside himself. They meant a great deal to him, as did your friendship. Thank you so much, Richard.

Richard, brilliant, brilliant upload. Fishing trip worthy and most excellent, in beautiful country. Is the water cooler from Peat or Iron? Steak looks a little far done for us. Liking your mate Tim's fishing skills!, best to you both. Bring us more! On a sadder note - our very best wishes to your friend Phil, and his family. A terrible loss.

Hi Richard, Firstly my condolences on losing your friend, I'm sure Phil would have enjoyed and appreciated the video you made in their name, stunning! The fishing looked incredible, what a location (I would be interested to know what flies or lures you were both using). The scenery looked fantastic too. Another great bit of entertainment Richard, keep it up. Cheers and best wishes, Mel Clarke
@RichardOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mel. The flies were impossibly small. About size 22. So lightly dressed that Tim had to split the thread and feed a few CDC hackles through. The fluff in my belly button would make about 20 of the flies, to add perspective!

Enjoyed the video? It was wonderful! You lucky man. Glad you had a good day, it looked marvellous. The colour of that river was amazing too (the steak didn’t look bad either..). What line weight was that rod? My guess was a 3, as it looked pretty light, just right for that river. More of this please.. Les
@Inkwaziflyfishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi we fished both #3 dry fly outfits and #3 euronymph outfits during the day. The fishing was a bit slow in the morning, cold front pushing through and picked up in the afternoon. #3 gear and long leaders with 8x terminal tippet.
@leslieaustin1513 жыл бұрын
@@Inkwaziflyfishing thanks for the info. “Euro-Nymph” is a description I have been hearing a bit lately, though it doesn’t mean much to me - been a few years since I flyfished, and just getting back into it. Is it what we used to call Czech nymphing? Anyway, it looked like a great time. Thank you. Les
@RichardOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Yep. Deep weighted nymphs and short line drawn with the current for maximum contact.
