I love him, he's an AMAZING actor and I'm so glad he didn't get pigeon holed, like he said, into a role, and one of the amazing things about the show TWD, I think, is that by using actors of all different races (see the latest season for even more diversity) is that they are trying to show that when it comes down to the nitty gritty we are all living breathing humans that want to survive and be happy.... I'm really happy for Steven and I so love watching him every Sunday!!!

Let me break it down for you - part of your reason for your disgust towards asian people is because that is how Hollywood presents it. Think about it. Hollywood has shown Ken Jeong, who really has made a fool of himself in the Hangover, etc. Then there's Bruce Lee, an asexual martial arts fighter. Then there's that fool asian guy that sang "she bang" in american idol. Yeah, that's pretty much all the asian male representation you get in american media. Biased? Sure , very much so. Then finally when john cho and steven break the ice slowly people start to realize "Hey....asian dudes are actually kind of normal and not the 'perpetual other' that Hollywood is making them out to be" Congrats on breaking out of the hive mind brainwash that is Hollywood.

The unfortunate hard truth is that The Walking Dead gave Steven Yeun massive fame, but how the landscape is right now in Hollywood, execs still don't trust Asian men as leads, heroes or romantic interests because it's so unproven. Steve has been actively pushing his own projects. He has one animated film coming out called CHEW where he voices the lead. Then he's also filming an indie thriller right now called MAYHEM. It's not a big Hollywood production and it's an indie project but if THAT film does well? That can open more doors for him.
