When I was told my Walmart to Quicksilver conversion had been done, I called Capital One to see if I could product change to the Savor. Short answer, No...however the underwriter was like, hint, hint, apply for the Savor and I'm pretty sure You can get it with the same limit as the Quicksilver with a soft pull. 1 minute later was approved for Savor with same limit. Don't know really what this means or if they are telling reps to help with the Walmart card loss...or I just got a particularly nice lady...but the takeaway is always call and ask. Great vid.

@@AnthonyVenture Lo and behold, I got an e-mail today asking if I wanted to PRODUCT CHANGE my Quicksilver card to a Savor or Venture card this morning from Capital One. 🙂 Bet this was a mass e-mail to all who were force changed from the WalMart card.

Yeah he talks about the Quicksilver, then how he was able to PC to the Savor. Pretty cool actually since it’s what I theorized for a while on how people can kind of back door the Savor via a MC Quicksilver. I do agree a bit clickbaity though honestly, not due it to being old news though since it was the first time I heard about it, but more so due to the dramatic intro 😂 Thanks Ahnonamos for being here!

I have a secured quicksilver with a $200 deposit and once it graduates I want to try to see if I can product change to a savor one or wait until some of these inquiries fall off and apply for it directly even though I’m gonna get three hard pulls. I have to wait for the quicksilver to graduate. If I get savor one, I’ll either keep the quicksilver secured or cancel it and get my deposit back. Right now to replace the gold on groceries, I can use the Venmo visa, The blue cash preferred even though I could probably change it back to the blue cash every day I could still replace the gold card. I don’t even use a majority of the 6K cap on groceries. My upgrade offer was $75 for $1000 spend in six months and I took it. With my rewards dollars I made up the annual fee. I have to wait till month 13 if not 14 to downgrade. I’m about to lose my job soon so once the place closes down due to my Winn-Dixie converting into an Aldi, I need to minimize annual fees. I’ll be down till one annual fee card in the AMEX green card. The blue cash preferred. I plan to downgrade back to the blue cash every day. If I need extended warranty I can use the blue business plus and blue business cash at Walmart and still get 2X. I can also use the synchrony world elite MasterCard at 2X.

@@Th33Vultur3I think that’s a good plan! If it’s a MC, higher likelihood you’ll have that upgrade offer I think to the Savor! And get that damn deposit back haha. Damnnnn, sorry to hear Vulture! Freaking sucks losing a job, any back up plan for when it shuts down? I’m surprised, are they not hiring you back??

@@AnthonyVenture I would have to either go to another Winn Dixie store, but it get converted later on. I won't be doing it for part-time since I have to drive to work. Full time only and same with going to an Aldi store that is NOT local. So I would be back to square one. Or I can apply and I did already at Aldi. They will have a job fair for Winn Dixie employees Nov 11 at my job. Layoffs will start Dec 16 and store closes permanently for conversion Jan 12, 2025. I have also 2 Citi Custom Cashes, one that was previously a Double Cash and a Venmo Visa that also codes Walmart as groceries even at supercenters. The Gold was downgraded to Green 2 months ago. Got coupon book fatigue after a year. Next the Green will be canceled in a year after August 15, 2025 or I will just use the full year until after March 14, 2026. I plan on downgrading the Blue Cash Preferred to a Blue Cash Everyday to save on annual fees. In a year to a year and a half, when the Green is due, I will either ask for a retention offer and if it stinks or I don't get one, I will cancel the Green. The points will be safe because of the Blue Business Plus.

Ohhhh the Venmo Visa codes Walmart as Grocery?? That’s good to know!! Yep 💯, it’s what I did as well, cut like $1k+ in annual fees the last few months due to expenses coming up etc. I think your plan is good.

They converted my old Kohl's store card, which was also issued by Cap1 to a new Kohl's store card, which now has 16 digits, starting with 6, but it's not a visa, and now I can see it under my Cap1 account.

They will go to the quicksilver, then you can take that cash back and convert it to VX miles etc. Thanks Turd Ferguson!

I have a Quicksilver Mastercard that 7 months old, and I can product change it to a Savor, but idk if I should do that, or wait awhile, and try for a new Savor with the SUB.

Hmm not sure, usually people really love being able to Product change to avoid the 3 hard pulls, but you’re right, the welcome offer would be great too. Depends if you can use the multipliers greatly as well, and if you could get a welcome offer elsewhere etc while coveting your 5/24 status. Not fully sure for your situation. Thanks Tristin!

Hahahaha, I know right, the gall he has. Yeah I figured I had no idea about the discontinuing so figured get the man himself to tell others who may not know and or didn’t know you could get a better card out of it etc. Thanks Woodzy man!!
