Go to Capitol Reef for the pie-Absolutely!! I am all about the pockets too, love deep pockets and lots of them. I wish these great hiking pants would come in petite lengths. It's very hard to find petite and I hate having to cut and sew by hand, I'm not a seamstress. So I keep looking. Always enjoy your hikes with John and adventures with friends. Makes me smile! ;-)

Capitol Reef is the geography of the survival school (Loa, UT) my son experienced for 3 months in the Fall-Winter 1999. Smart kid who believed he could survive without rules and education. Wonderful home coming when he set up camp, built & started fire to prepare & serve his mother & me dinner. I cried for what he had become.

My memories of Utah are from a holiday back in the 60's. Pretty much all my memories are of Salt Lake City, another place that I want to return too. So anything else that I have seen has all been on youtube, and 98% will be Moab. I had no idea how beautiful Utah is. Definitely on my list.

Thanks for a great video on one of my favorite places to visit, one can never have too many of those pies 😋. Ordered a pair of the hiking pants, I too love pockets. I'm 5' 8" and have extra long legs, it's next to impossible to find pants that are long enough, these are the PERFECT length. I normally wear a 6 and ordered the medium, they fit perfect with like you said, enough room for some long underwear for cooler weather. Haven't had them out hiking yet but they feel really comfortable, look forward to wearing them. I like that the waste is not to high or low, just perfect. Your reviews are always great, thanks!

Even at 5’6”, I often find pants are too short. Must be terrible for you. I also forgot to mention that they also have a pocket for knee pads. I ordered a pair for gardening.

For some reason, I didn't get any video or photos of them. Must have had a brain cramp. I spent quite a bit of time looking at them and wondering how they reached so high. Were they standing on ladders (the way ancient people did) or is that how much material had washed away from the ground.

@@FromShetoMe The rangers said they stood on their wagons and did it. One of the names was done with shooting a rifle. If you look close, his name is written with bullet holes.
