Can someone explain to me how Elisa Wallace rides and shows horses that aren't hers? Does she pay the owners? Why do the owners let her ride and what are the benefits to both? Can someone explain?

A lot of professional riders don’t ride horses that they own. It’s not really that the riders pay for it, instead the owners cover most things and pay the riders to compete their horses. The owners like to have a top competition horse but most of them either don’t ride or don’t ride to the level the horse competes at. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship, with the rider having a horse they normally wouldn’t be able to afford to compete, and the owner having the prestige of owning a successful horse
