Benny makes this stuff look like a walk in the park. Please consider the risk factors and talk to a qualified mechanic, as well as a psychologist, if you’re thinking of attempting anything you’ve seen on the show.
Take into consideration your safety, the safety of others, as well as your vehicle’s best interests- warranty, etc.
Unless you’re trained & qualified to do so, we don’t recommend modifying your vehicle in any way. Stickers don’t add HP unless installed correctly.

Yeah, the engine is only 657cc. It's tiny, meant to fit in with the 660cc kei car regulations. Stock, it made 47 kW (63 hp). Or so Suzuki claim, since that's the maximum power limit of the same kei car regulations. Japan have been known to make dodgy claims to get out of stuff like that. Like the 276hp Gentleman's Agreement. By the end of it, there were cars, like the R34 GT-R, making about 330hp stock, or, as they claimed, 276hp.

Some pro tips in there, particularly about the use of sealant. I've seen quite a few OHC engines that have fried the camshaft because some genius spooged about a ton of sealant on it and blocked all the oil galleries. I would also recommend changing the water pump and idler pulley/tensioner when changing the timing belt - it's amazing how often a previously fine water pump will fail after the belt is changed.

Do you make any consideration to flattening/smoothing the stone, or do you think that it's not required for this process? I understand that if you don't flatten the stone, it tends to wear in the centre and end up wearing the sides of the block more then the centre. What methods would you suggest to flatten if it needs doing?

AS any woodworker would tell you.You must true up the Stone before you use it.Also use a vegetable oil as petroleum oil dissolves the resin in the Stone, A piece of plate glass with 220 wet dry glued to it is better. Any Biker will tell you to true up cases like that. I always scrape with a sharp wood chisel as I do not like grit in engine. One method to see if the head to block surface is good is to use carbon paper and shelf paper. Tighten the head to the block then remove and look at the paper to see if the carbon transfer is consistent. If not then Machine it.
