Captain America Avengers Endgame S.H. Figuarts REVIEW!

I have the SHF Captain America from Age of Ultron. While the new Endgame one has some newer joints and the updated suit, overall I'm not sure it's an improvement rather than just the latest version. It doesn't appear to do anything my older one can't do. Also if you have the Marvel Legends first 10 years Cap from the 2 pack, the unmasked Chris Evans head can sit on the neck. It doesn't peg in, but it will stay. And it's the best Chris Evans head there is for 1:12 scale thus far. A buddy is sending me the Wal-Mart exclusive Endgame Cap. It's a shame the SHF lacks that special accessory.

Andrew Schatz If you have the Age of Ultron, yes there is no point. It’s essentially the same. They are using the opportunity to make money with just new packaging & minor updates. I never knew about the ML 10 year Cap could be used as a alternative head. I have seen it around but never purchased it. :) As for the ‘special weapon’, they made the figure and packaging way before the film was released. So I let them off.

Why does SHF always get the details on Caps shield wrong? For one the star on the shield is too big and lacks the etched in lines and the five-point rivet detail on the surface of the star.

I have the SHF IW Cap. but still ordered this one as don't have the other SHF Cap. versions. I get it that SHF could not include the other weapon used in EG since the preorder on this went live before the movie came out. Disappointing however that SHF did not include an updated unmasked Steve Rogers alternate head (even Marvel Legends includes for a fig. that costs $67% less). Apparently they can do for Ant-Man but somehow can't for Cap. That's just another weak effort by SHF IMO. Agree the alternate head sculpts that SHF includes with only difference being eyes looking to the side are pretty much worthless & just SHF being lazy & cheap IMO by not including an alternate head sculpt with a fighting type facial expression. Did it for IW Hulk so obviously they can do it. At least they included a shield with this one but could have at least added some wear on it to differentiate from the other previously issued versions IMO. I Guess we are supposed to be happy that SHF actually included a shield since they totally cheaped out on the IW version by not including Wakanda shields IMO. Overall a decent pickup if you don't have the Civil War version but could have been much better with just a little more effort from SHF. I seem to get that same feeling with a lot of recent SHF MCU line issues. Thanks for the review.

Mafex is starting to get aggresive with the MCU. They just announced an IW Thor. Hopefully they continue on, since they are a bit generous and give us plenty of accesories. And their QC has greatly improved after their HC Spidey.

@@kaleodos Yeah the Mafex Iron Spider appears as though it's going to blow away the SHF version & the Mafex Thor pics look to do the same. Mafex has upped their game definitely & hope they continue to produce more MCU line figs. Very impressed with their recent face sculpts for Bruce Wayne & Ra's Al Guhl releases.

@@Soldier-wi8ps Thanks much. Hopefully Mafex continues to up their game so we can get a good alternative to SHF & which include cool accessories & meaningful alternate heads. Personally I'm growing tired & frustrated with the lazy & bare bones (IMO) SHF releases for premium prices. Also SHF gave us none of the Black Order, other than Thanos.

Giorgio Agreed. I think they made this before the film was out. The Marvel Legends one has a battle damaged shield & the hammer.

You should buy in rtoys in greenhills or check their facebook page to see if they have SHF Captain America i also recommend BigBoysToyStore they also have a facebook page and a website😁

Kind of regret ordering this. I mean I don’t have a Captain America figure but this thing looks not so good. Especially given the fact that Bandai will eventually release a better one, wether it be months or a couple years from now.

Keanu Nita Unfortunately no. Bandai most likely made this figure way in advance before the movie was released. Maybe a future Thor figure and hope they include one. Or they release another Captain America with new a head sculpt, battle damaged suit, shield and hammer.
