You have to remember that Cap could throw his shield and Bane could catch it. Bane would then realize to keep it and not to throw it. Just cause Cap starts with the shield doesn’t mean he ends with the shield.

It doesn't change the outcome of this match, but you were wrong about Bane being smarter than Cap. The super serum doesn't just make Cap physically stronger/faster/etc... It also turned his brain into what is essentially an organic supercomputer. Cap THINKS faster than normal humans, has a photographic memory, and has an uncanny ability to instantly come up with fully developed strategies in an instant. His ability to do math is off the charts. When he throws his shield, the reason it always comes back to him is because, in the instant he throws it, he literally does the calculus to determine how to throw it to make it bounce back to him after hitting half a dozen different moving targets in three dimensional space. The mental aspect of Cap's character is something they typically ignore because if they exploited it too often, it would completely change his character. He has the potential to learn all the science that Stark and Banner know ... and do it BETTER than they do. He has the potential to learn magic the same way Dr. Strange did, and do it BETTER than he does. Dr. Doom's power is a combination of super-technology mixed with magic. If they allowed cap to fully utilize is potential, he would basically have the same powerset as Dr. Doom ... but to a MUCH greater degree ... PLUS all of his base physical enhancements for having the super-soldier serum. In short, if they ever really allowed cap to fully exploit his powerset, he would become the most powerful character in the Marvel universe, fully able to accomplish anything he desired through a combination of high-technology and magical-mastery.

Bane eventually forgoes use of Venom as it was holding him back, although he does go back to it for special occasions. Without the Venom it was stated that he is the equal to Batman in fighting ability. It's also been stated, in canon crossover, that Batman is a slightly better fighter than Captain American (Batman has mastered all forms of combat, CA is simply adept at them). Also Bane, on Venom, has chucked a 35 ton Easter Island head. That's WAY more than Cap has ever lifted.

That's the main reason why he sees bullets coming at him. His reflexes yes, but mainly because his brain processes information at peak human potential levels. Bane was able to break the Bat after tiring him out for a week. The real catch is that Cap doesn't produce the fatigue toxins that would slow in down in the same scenario. I'm not undermining Batman in any way; his endurance for someone with no powers is still very impressive. That being said, Bane will not be able to take Cap down the same way. Bane may be able to increase his strength beyond Cap's with enough Venom in his system, but Cap's shield will absorb nearly all the shock from Bane's attacks. Cap has a much stronger defense than Bane and that defense will give him the win after a long, tough fight.

Elijah Medley I think when Bane overdoses and uses the max amount of Venom, his strength is anywhere from 2-4 tons. Now, it also depends on the writer as does everything. I think I've seen Cap lift about a ton when his adrenaline is pumping but he may have done more. I'm more of a Spider-Man expert than anything else, so if you know of some really impressive Cap feats of strength, let me know.

Elijah Medley Yeah, I was mainly going by lifting feats. I remember reading years back his lifting max is something like 1100 lbs but I know he's done past that. Cap and Spider-Man both don't really have an official limit on their strength as Spider-Man has lifted way beyond 10 tons.

Bane without Venom is as strong as Cap.. Add venom? Cap better stays out of reach or he will get his arms torn apart. Cap has superior speed to his side, however that is a small advantage, Venom also makes you faster. They may be equal. I say Bane would break him. Cap is formidable but Bane is on a completely different level. He is far smarter, and far stronger. He is also just as good a fighter. He would decapitate Cap with his own shield lol.

It won't be easy but Cap takes this one. They might be close to even in skill/abilities but Bane usually has his Venom tubes exposed, all Cap has to do is sever them or simply wait till he runs out of Venom reserves. Where as Cap has no weakness to exploit.

Captain America would win. It hardly needs to be a battle to the death. Captain America has beaten Mr. Hyde (whose strength allows him to go toe-to-toe with Thor). Batman healed right up, got a good nights rest and then beat Bane. Captain America would not have a problem beating the relatively weak Bane. Edit Between dodging blows and letting his shield take the blows, Captain America would eventually knock Hyde out. Cap would either hit Hyde with something hard, like his shield, or a wall, or get Hyde into a choke hold. Strength isn't everything.

As much as Captain America has the edge in speed and agility and has a shield people cant underestimate Bane. Bane isnt just strong but fast for a big guy. He has a brilliant tactical mind and is a big time threat. He wont just come a Captain America with strength but methods too. Bane is going to give Captain America a tough fight. And we need to remember despite his abilities Captain America has faced foes and struggled against them despite they are no where close to what Bane can do. If the Red Skull and the Kingpin can tag and hurt Captain America then Bane wont have trouble landing in some shots on Captain America. It will be close but Captain America wont have the easiest of time with him the way people claim. Bane is a dangerous foe who can do damage.

Hey Danco! I love your work. However, regarding the intelligence of Captain America; although he is not as technologically minded as, say, Batman; the Super Soldier Serum enhances EVERYTHING about Cap to the peak of human potential. So, Cap is also as smart as a human can be and still be human. So in raw calculation ability Cap is better and faster than Bats. In fact, his mental processing is so fast that, as you mentioned, he can "see faster" allowing him to dodge bullets at point blank range. This also lets him calculate trajectories and angles and such for his shield for those insane ricochets. He is simply just less interested in technology. Cap focuses his interest upon strategy and tactics. He relaxes with art but his free time seems to be taken up with either keeping current with Avengers and SHIELD mission files and briefs or with training his fellow Avengers. Furthermore, since Cap seems to win the first time out, most of the time, it is not quite as obvious; but Cap with prep time is just as if not more devastating, as well as all around sneaky as Bats ever was. Check out the first marvel Civil War, where Cap is able to out strategize 3 of the most brilliant minds in the Marvel Universe...aka, Tony Stark, Reed Richards and Hank Pym.

This video has really opened my eyes to how biased you are. Bane in base bench presses 1500lb before even using the Venom steroid. Captain America's warm-up is only 1100lb meaning Bane was clearly stronger before the steroids. After using the Venom steroid his Feats include, tanking bullets, chucking 15 Tons Boulders at Batman, throwing a 20-ton truck and jumping to an extremely tall Tower in a single bound, Bane is a actual genius, he mastered over 120 Marvel arts styles, and was going to break Caps back in a crossover, but was saved by plot armor, after being completely out matched and overpowered.
