Wonderful version of this song - the best ever. Tenille is beautiful, and the Captain captivating. I bought the album in the 70's, and played it to death. RIP Captain.

Today May 19th, 2020 is our 46th wedding Anniversary and this too was our communion song at the Altar on the day of our wedding. We lit our Unity Candle to this song 🕯🕎🙏✝️ our Wedding march song was Sunrise Sunset 🕎

@@carolechapman731 ...congrats on your 19th year of marriage. Heres to say that marriage has its twists and turns, there are good times and not so good as in rougg patches. Just know that things can be worked out as ling as Jesus is at the Center of it all ✝️. We are happy that we have grown older & wiser together. Divorce has never been an option in our lives. Divorce is the lazy cowards way out. We love growing old together watching our 6 grandchildren grow. God bless your marriage.

I had never heard The Captain and Tennille performing this song until just now. Truly a beautiful version! As I looked at the accompanying pictures, I could not help but think of Toni's admission that she never felt real love for Darryl (Dragon), and that made me a bit sad. Nevertheless, what a beautiful discovery!

01:30 Love those cheesy, overwrought background vocals! (Time has proven Toni Tenille to have a superb voice, though.)
I think it's in a minor key. But I always find that harmony to be haunting.
