About 10 years I was walking to meet my wife and her friend as we were going to a PP & M concert...As I was walking forward much to my surprise Mr Stookey was walking by himself in my direction...I was awestruck and blurted out "You have to do The Wedding Song" He smiled an said he did not know what songs they were going to perform that night. I smiled and walked away mesmiriized...After the 3 did about a 45 minute set and went inside for a break...After about 10 minutes Paul came out solo and made an announcement...He stated that as he was walking to the show a "fan" requested this song....I stood up immediately and balled my eyes out as he proceeded to sing this song....I am quite sure Mr Stookey did this as a favor. God Bless him forever...One of the greatest songs of all time...up there with Hey Jude

You’re not going to believe me but Peter Paul and Mary popped into my head I was just thinking it didn’t know they existed I thought it had something to do with the Bible. So I searched google and they popped up. So I thought ok they have a message for me, started listening to their songs and they move me blowing in the wind, early morning rain, 500 miles. It’s like they have this strong inner knowing, the answer is and forever will be love. This song especially I’m drawn to like a moth to the flame.
