I live in a small town and I'm one of the few kids who doesn't go to church or believe in God, and allot of people don't think highly of my family because of it, so I try to avoid telling people. I know so many people who would completely write me off because of it.One of my best friends even told me I was going to Hell when I told him. You know, this could actually be a pretty cool concept for a game. The entire city has been placed under a dome of darkness and has been overrun with brain-corrupting robotic overlords, and the way to stop them is to sneak into the enemy stronghold and PILOT A FUCKING MEGAZORD to victory. If you fail, you don't die; you just lose all hope and become a broken, despairing shell of your former self, just another one of the Cybers' pawns. Plus, the art itself isn't bad at all. Got some cool cyberpunk/post-cyberpunk aesthetic going on here. If only they hadn't added the troublesome Bibley bits, this game would have been something I loved as a kid.

It doesn't say rainbows are not light refracted through water, all it says is that the statement "rainbows are *just* light refracted through water, not a creation of God with a divine purpose" is a cyber lie. Genesis says the first rainbow was a sign of God's covenant with Noah (and I guess you could stretch that to say it had a "divine purpose"), but obviously that doesn't stop it from being light refracted through water. The cyber lie was very poorly written and obviously was meant only to be a refutation of that specific verse, and I'm pretty sure nobody actually believes that rainbows aren't what science says they are.

You do have a few points, Except on the last one. I won't discuss Religious beliefs with you but I can assure you 100% that your last statement is completely incorrect. (For Christianity that is.) I grew up in a household with similar media and creations being shown to me (Not that I enjoyed most of them) and though I felt like I might have had the strictest religious parents I never felt like they were forcing me to do or choose anything. But no matter you are correct in the regard that "most" Gamers that play and purchase games in the modern market aren't really religious. Same goes for the Game developers. Be them Japanese or American.

As a devout Christian with a degree in Theology I find this game laughably bad. It seems to come from a Christian tradition that is not okay with explaining truth through metaphor. So this tradition gives us Bible man, and the opposite tradition gives us Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia... gosh my faith is bizarre...

The simple answer is genre. Some books are poetry such as Song of Solomon and so you expect metaphor from those, others are clearly meant to be read as historical books such as Numbers, any of the Kings or Chronicles. It's like having a big pile of books and having to place them in the correct sections of a library, with a quick read of any individual book they should be easy to place 99% of the time. That is a very simplistic answer, but if you want to go deeper there are a good number of books out there on Biblical interpretation, and it is a huge subject. My original point however was about Christians expressing their faith, so two which agree upon what the Bible teaches may have two wildly different ways of expressing it to others.

I hear that, but if you take it non-literally to the point where Captain Bible is just dreaming and is just going from one Bible Station *in his own mind* to the next, and the Bible Stations are his own memories that the invading robots in his mind somehow hadn't obliterated, it makes some sense. Captain Bible was a good Bible game. It had excellent SVGA graphics, animation, combat gameplay and even reasonably OK sound. For an early 90s MS-DOS game, it wasn't groundbreaking but it was passable compared to normal games for that period and platform. It just had bad writing. "The Binding of Isaac" is not a Bible game. It is an atheist butthurt game.

I was kind of expecting The Seven Deadly Sins to appear in this game. If you think about it they could have made for really cool bosses. With Envy being a snake lady, Gluttony being someone scoffing food, Lust being a woman with very sexual clothes on, Pride being a man with trophies in his hands and so on. Maybe Wrath or Greed would have been the final boss (seeing as Mammon or Satan would make for a cool final boss). But due to this game's crapiness I can tell that The Seven Deadly Sins would have looked absolute shit on it

One of the things that they said was that his characters moved like animatronics so he took that and shoved it up their a**hole creating one of the most popular games of 2014.
