So he gets really affected when he fails in that regard, it's a trauma, and many don't stop to think of it that way. (Ep. 111) 1. There's an article about foreshadowing in Bleach and that 0.1 percent of the fandom catches all of the narrative metaphors and foreshadowing on the first Read/Watch. Plus many of us in the west watched when we were younger and just wanted cool fights. The funny thing is, even though it's the least popular of the big 3, it's the one that influenced the big dogs of the new era of Shounen, JJK, Demon Slayer, and Black Clover are all heavily Bleach influenced.

4th division captain secret is kind of told you just don't put the clues together unless you really take a long look at the characters names and why they are named as such. It was a great foreshadowing.

I would say Bleach is detailed, the story isnt super complex its certainly extremely nuance and it tells probably the best life lessons from the big 3 but the story telling is not as complex as one piece or lord of the ring (thou this is not a fair comparison). Since Bleach storytelling is very not in your face, you have to re-read it a couple times take your own conclusions and such on comparison Naruto and One Piece are very famous for telling you its messages, Naruto practically screams them at you. You said there is a lot of moving parts and thats true sine the story in Bleach would happen even if Ichigo didnt exist thou he is very important to the story Ichigo is not a center of the universe, I dont like to throw shade at Naruto that also a thing naruto does regarding its main character. Some stuff you could ahve missed: Place Ichigo decided to drop from Urahara is near the place him mother died, since Ichigo wants to protect people close to him. Death of his mother weighs on him very much with guilt so in Ichigos head he is practically duty bound to fight for others. In that place Ichigo probably reflects on his achievements Shinji first time he appeared he was standing upside down(while drinking water) and when he wrote his name in class he wrote it backwards, reversal is a thematic thing with Shinji so you can keep an eye on it The 3 plushes are from the Filler and they will degrade some characters for a while now so oyou can just ignor them
