Oh my goodness this is one show I never missed the never forgotten about, Captain kangaroo. Miss the good old days of television like this, television from the '80s are so much better than the television shows are in 2022.

Captain always said " It's nice to be important, but its more important to be nice..." I love it! Thank you, Captain Kangaroo

I love Captain Kangaroo ! He was my kindergarten back in the 60s and I always had respect for him and the way he always tried to instill values and creativity in kids. I also love Mr Green Jeans. You just don't see that kind of programming for kids anymore.

I watched Captain Kangaroo as a child. When Bob Keeshan died-a part of my heart died with him.

I actually read somewhere that after Bob Keeshan underwent heart surgery in 1981, he quit smoking and urged a lot of lawmakers in Washington DC to enforce strict laws on how dangerous smoking was. Good choice Bob Keeshan.

I grew up one town over from where the Capt lived. And due to my dads name being so similar once in a while we'd get his mail by accident. We were always excited to drive by his house for some reason, we never saw him, guess he was inside with Mr. Greenjeans. About all you could see was a tall privacy fence, some shrubs, and the roof, but that was enough.

Sad, really is sad, how nobody in Hollywood or the entertainment industry wants to honor his memory, except just drag down his clean-cut style as being "politically correct" 😠 Oh, but let's make a movie about Mister Rogers, in which Tom Hanks looks nothing at all like him, even with the make-up and prosthetics.
