I cannot believe how many people with boats don’t have four wheel drive. It’s insane. I am 60 years old and can probably count on one hand the number of people I have known in my lifetime that have a pick up or SUV that is not four wheel or all wheel drive. Heck, You probably have to pay extra to get 2 wheel drive as it would have to be a special order!

It's funny watching all these big trucks that are two-wheel drive. I get it but living my whole life in the mountains of Oregon and Idaho, you would never buy a two-wheel drive pickup, it's like putting ice skates on a moose.

There's not a lot of need for 4 wheel drive in Florida apart from hauling boats. 4 wheel drive adds a lot of expense to the price new as well as maintenance. I'm 66 and grew up in Western NYS with lake effect snow and towing boats and campers in the Adirondack mountains. We learned how to drive. Never had a 4 wheel drive - all my pick ups and cars were rear wheel drive. Never got stuck once.

Dodge Ram with the (tow mirrors) out @ 7:16 spinning. You clearly are brand bias. 4x4 makes or breaks a truck, not brand. Ford is #1 because they tow more and are more reliable than any other brand. Do 5 mins of research and you'll find out. 2wd is not a truck in any brand because the towing capacity is limited to the driveline. Plus this video seems to majorly have fords. I've seen chevy 2500 2wd with big tires spin even more in the other videos.....

@boomandalpha , they can't choose 2nd gear? Why not? I have an old Ford Excursion, but it will let me select a 2nd gear start. Are you saying that you can't do that in other vehicles? I'll have to try it in my 2019 Rogue. It has that stupid CVT, so probably not. But I would think any mechanical transmission would allow you to do that.

Seriously. I have noticed a lot of the docks do not have cleats but still, they would be helpful. They could also use those poles with a wire loop to catch gators or dogs around the pilings.

It’s about two miles from the Bay to the boat ramps yet there are still morons that wait until they are at the docks to get lines ready…if they have any at all.

They buy boats for 200,000 dollars and tow them in 8-cylinder gasoline 4x2 cars, old Toyota Hilux diesel 4x4 tows those boats without problem.😆

Would taking some air our of the rear tires to give more of a footprint help on this ramp at all?

Actually when towing. You have to have your psi almost to max... unless you carry a air compressor on board then it might ok just to pull out. Otherwise not recommended.

I don’t understand why all these people haul these big old boats and a 2 Wheel Dr., half ton truck. I’ve never slipped on the boat ramp because if it’s wet I just put the four-wheel-drive in and up up go.
