Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Just 'cause he can "creatively cook" doesn't mean he is great. He is unstable in his ways and gaslights the crew, especially Hannah, when it's the guests who are screwing up his prep times. He's so unkind. She's grown, not a child. It seems he'd be a very unpleasant husband and father! Maybe that's why he prefers roaming the world on boats...no smoking gun.

Hannah cannot win with her captain or with the crew. This year Ben says that Hannah shouldn't be doing the same amount of work as her stewardesses, and should be doing less work. In years past she has gotten the opposite critique from both Ben and her charges. When you are in a management position, there is a lot more work to be done behind the scenes versus on the frontlines. This year, Hannah did both while maintaining an excellent relationship with her stewardesses. I think she did an amazing job balancing everything, when any other person would have dropped the ball. Unfortunately, she made choices that Sandy disagreed with. They weren't wrong, they were just different. It was micromanaging at its finest. Hannah still remains my favourite cast member, so it breaks my heart to see her cast as the convenient scapegoat every season.

Last year Hannah was not acting like a boss at all. Brooke did everything and received no credit for it. This year Hannah was acting like a boss! She was sharing in all the work! Even when they were down a stewardess she worked even harder. She treated her staff with respect! Hannah has not done anything wrong this season and doesn’t deserve this treatment.

@@angsoule8815 you're not seeing it from a boss' perspective. Hannah is the boss of the interior. The role of a leader is to delegate and rally your crew to work their asses off for a common goal. She did not do that, she tried to take on all the extra hard work herself. That's a fault of leadership. I'm a restaurant owner and the first thing you teach someone when promoting them is to delegate so that the customer experience is amazing non-stop and with the work spread out amongst a team you minimize mistakes. Not just for one or two nights. Ben was right, Hannah wanted her girls to like her too much instead of telling them to work as hard as her, shoulder to shoulder. Captain Sandy is the OG for a reason. And same with Ben, both of them have way more experience than Hannah and the chef gets put under more pressure than anyone. They both called out Hannah and they are both correct.

This is such a great show. Its because although some parts of it as scripted....the majority of it appears to be not. Mainly because they actually are people who do this job and have to get stuff done. Rather than the real housewives who's only job it is is to fake drama. Except for chef Mila she was obviously fake and cast to come on to get fired

What Ben says is true. My very first management position, I had an older woman tell me about the same thing. She said I was wasting my talents trying to do the grunt work too instead of stepping back and supervising. It freed up so much time to do more big picture planning. And then I could be there to pick up slack without already being burned up

Yeah Ben is right, a boss so there to delegate and jump in when needed. Otherwise they should be there to supervise and lead. Look at the structure of any company. I'm a restaurant owner and the first thing you teach a newly promoted manager is how to delegate. There are things that you can do that the normal crew members cannot, so you need to be ready at all times to jump in and perform those tasks. That means you can't be stuck in a role like the normal crew so the crew is who is doing most of the work while the boss oversees everything and makes sure it runs smoothly. The boss is there to "put out fires."

I'm really bummed we're not getting a reunion, but I kinda get it. There were 3 people in and out this season, so not sure who would even show up. I think the main reason is Travis and his drinking and his denial of a drinking problem. That's a pretty big minefield to sidestep at a reunion.

Hannah worked hard, yes, but she did not delegate or ask her girls to share in the heavy workload. When you're under all the pressure she was under you HAVE to ask your team to get your back. She didn't ask anything out of the ordinary from her girls yet Sandy asked for more than ordinary from her. That's a fault in leadership from Hannah. Ben was right, Hannah wanted the girls to like her too much instead of being the boss that the interior needs. Being a successful boss isn't just working hard. It's the skill of delegating and getting your crew to work together towards a common goal. I feel bad because she worked so hard but still, as a whole, the interior lacked in areas. Because she didn't want to tell her ladies to work their asses off with her.

These ppl were nice, friendly, no trouble and gave them a good tip. Aesha chose to call them names and make fun of them. She needs to stay in her wheel room and let the people do their jobs. She "rules" by publicly comparing and embarrassing each against another, and selective praise. Creating jealousy is not constructive, and creates a terrible reputation. I felt a lack of encouragement as her leading approach to some people, especially the females. Ben said "I wasn't there to sleep", but he constantly complained about the rest of the crew. Ben's not pleasant...ever.

Did you only watch a video of her being "mean" to people or something? If you actually watch the show you would see that she's very good at her job and is very decent to her crew. She doesn't publicly shame people but rather takes them off to the side or into her office. She publicly affirmed Hannah on several occasions where she didn't deserve it but she took the credit anyways.

Travis was toxic as hell, what are you talking about? Have you ever worked with someone like Travis who is constantly undermining the supervisor and had a shitty attitude any time he was asked to do something? He is the person on a team that when they don't get their way they get pissy and brings everyone down with them. Joao is a hard worker and expects each member of his team to pull their weight, Travis just didn't like taking orders from him because he had more experience, but it doesn't matter if they are your boss and what they are telling you is in line with what is normally asked. Jack was the weakest link for the deck crew and Travis buddied up with him which made it harder to get shit done because now they are reinforcing each other's major faults, Jack's crappy work ethics and Travis' bad attitude.
